Right now Just Cause 2 is on sale at STEAM alongside all the DLC for the game.

75% off is a pretty sweet deal and I'm going to purchase it, but my question is: Should I buy with all the DLC or just the original game?

I have often found that pre order bonuses and DLC sometimes breaks parts of games (Dragon Age, Borderlands etc.).

    The DLC's are:

    Black Market Aerial Pack

    Black Market 'Boom' Pack

    Monster Truck

    Agency Hovercraft

    Rico's Signature Gun

    Chevalier Classic

    Bull's Eye Assault Rifle

    Any help would be appreciated.

i bought all of the DLC on PS3 and my take on it is that you should go for it. the added weapons in the Black Market packs are crazy-- especially the air propulsion gun that just sends everything flying in one direction. it's especially fun when dealing with the Tuk Tuks

The aerial pack is indeed a must. You could do without the rest, honestly.

The only one I liked well enough to still remember was the parachute boost thing. Though I remeber some people complaining that you had to keep rebuying it whenever you returned to the game? They may have changed that?

Thanks for the replies, but I feel that my primary concern hasn't been addressed.

Will the DLC "break" the game by overpowering the player character?

I recall from Dragon Age equipping DLC gear that I never replaced.

Not really. To be honest, I wish Rico Rodriguez was more powerful than he is already. You start the game without the ability to hold much ammo (relative to how much you need) and considering that your health doesn't refill, you don't start with too much of that either.

Yes, that stuff gives you an edge, but it's a very fun edge and it definitely adds some good things to the game. I believe one of the parachutes has a jetpack on it, for one. And, really, this isn't a game that you should be concerned about "breaking" since causing as much chaos as possible is literally the goal of the game.

You can get a mod to permanently have it anyway, provided you have the DLC!

The parachute booster is the only thing worth having. The guns are great, but you wont be able to find ammo for it. Also, like everything that is DLC when you die you have to re-order it. In the case of the parachute booster this is maddening.

That's awesome, it's a really useful piece of equipment. I'm glad someone figured that out. There you go, OP make sure you get that one and the mod.
