Personaly i love the kane and lynch story and charactors
sure there assholes and both mass murders but in loads of games you play as a sick twisted killer just wondering if anyone could explan whats so bad or to see if anyone agrees with me ?
(sorry for spelling / puncasoin mistakes im dislexic so i can't realy help it )
Kane & Lynch
IO Interactive's squad-based shooters have a decidedly criminal theme to them.
Whats so bad about kane and lynch?
I dunno since I haven't played it before but from reading about it, it wasn't a bad game. It just wasn't great either.
It's not bad but here' s some major problems
Truck window...fuck you!
getting shot through cover...all cover, all the time.
Helicopters.
It got Jeff fired making it both the worst and best game ever.
Because if not for that game, Giant Bomb may not ever have existed.
And for that I am grateful.
This. I personally don't give a crap either way. Just another generic shooter that tries to be edgy." Its basically stupid fan loyalty. As if hating this game makes you closer to Jeff. Grow up guys. "
" if it's anything like Kane and Lynch 2, it's just not fun at all to play. "This.
I remember not liking the demo for the first one either. I actually have a copy of the first game sitting on my desk right now, still wrapped.
The first one's graphics and animations were dated, no sticky cover button, awkward gun feedback, and no online co-op (can't remember how AI behaved). Good thing the sequel fixes every single complaint I listed so I can appreciate the originality the team crafted into Kane and Lynch's personality. Some may find the combat generic, but by no means can anyone objectively say it's bad anymore unless shooters were never their thing.
" High expectations. Low results. "I think I agree with this from what I've read. I think Kane and Lynch will never sit comfortably with the Giant Bomb community as it got Jeff fired. But as @ryanwho said:
" Its basically stupid fan loyalty. As if hating this game makes you closer to Jeff. Grow up guys. "This also.
Kane & Lynch basicly was the catalyst for the founding of Giant Bomb. Also, it is a middling game. 'Fair' one might say.
I personally loved the game. My friend and I played through it in a night sitting and loved it. The story felt over the top but in a good fun way. The gameplay was pretty good imo but i doesn't compare to the games of today. I loved the characters and the way their backgrounds unravel throughout the game. Co-op is the way to go with this game.
For me, the first game was basically bogged down by a wonky cover system and stupid partner A.I. It was Kane and Lynch themselves that kept me going until the end, so I totally agree with you about that. While I don't think Dog Days is going to be setting the genre on fire, it's quite an improvement over the original, if you ask me.
