Description
Kazooie is a red-crested bregull, and second in the Banjo-Kazooie duo. Debuting in Banjo-Kazooie for the Nintendo 64, Kazooie quickly was introduced as Banjo's partner and feathered friend.
Abilities
In Banjo-Kazooie, many of the moves introduced followed Kazooie's bird abilties like the Flight Pad, High Jump Pads, invincibility Wonder Wing, Talon Trot, and the traditional egg launching. At the beginning of Banjo-Tooie, these moves were already learned.
Originally confined to Banjo's backpack, Kazooie ventured on her own thanks to the Split-Up ability in Banjo-Tooie. She jumps better and walks faster than Banjo, but she has less honeycombs for her life meter. She learns other moves from simple attacks to hatching eggs. She has also been used as an egg-shooting rifle, a blungeoning instrument, and more recently a chainsaw-like instrument.
Roles in games
Kazooie in her first appearance.Kazooie is a main character in all Banjo games except Grunty's Revenge. She is a smart-mouth to others, but a good companion because of her ability to fly.
In Banjo-Kazooie, Kazooie must help Banjo defeat Gruntilda the Witch to save Banjo's sister Tooty.
In Banjo-Tooie, Kazooie and Banjo attempt to stop Grunty and her sisters from draining the life from the Isle O' Hags. Late in the game she can transform into a dragon, which turns one of her attacks into fire breath. Oddly enough, even if she is in dragon form, there is a cutscene where she appears as a bird, and not a dragon. But, if the player chooses, she can be turned back into a bird.
At the beginning of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Kazooie had gained a lot of weight over ten years, and is hanging with Banjo, who is very obese also. After some exercise, she becomes Banjo's new weapon. Utilizing a wrench, she picks up objects and attacks anyone threatening either of them.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Kazooie is captured and it's up to Banjo alone to save her and retain a good future.
Cameos
Kazooie has a small cameo in Conkers Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live and Reloaded, she at the end of an umbrella.
