Like the other members of The League of Evil Exes, the Katayanagi twins have their own mystical powers, but they prefer to use their technical abilities to do their fighting for them. When they first battle with
Scott Pilgrim, they send their
robotic minions after him, before eventually taking him on man-to-man-to-man. While fighting with Scott, the Katayanagis utilize a number of tag-team maneuvers in an homage to
Double Dragon, as is the
achievement or
trophy you get for defeating them simultaneously, Twin Dragons. They also have hurricane kicks in their arsenal of moves, a possible reference to
Ken and
Ryu from
Street Fighter.
