    To celebrate the holidays the killing floor guys are adding a new holiday themed map, achievements and some free character skins(for some) !

    The event starts on the 14th of December and ends on the 4th of January

    Killing Floor was an awesome game when it first came out!  Then they added some update that seemed to have made things less fun? I'm not sure what it was, but its appeal might have just worn off on me. 
    Is it really worth it to get back in on it?

    That's potent.
    Killing Floor has the best zombie wave-based gameplay.

    Cool!  I always love jumping back in when they update the game with new content.  Hmm...might make for a good Christmas themed playthrough...

    @ESREVER: I would say so yes, They have been doing a great job of adding new weapons and maps and it seems they have put a lot of effort into this one.  you could even just jump in there for a little bit and check their crazy Christmas themed enemies and shoot a fake Rudolf.

    @TheDarkPrince: I think you can, but you need to activate it through Steam. If the game already requires activation through Steam on a retail copy, then you should be fine.

    Heeeeeey folks, Killing Floor's xmas event is now live! So log in and you can even get a new red or blue Pyro character to play as if you also own TF2.

    I'm impressed with the level of support that has been shown for Killing Floor - progressively increased difficulty, new levels, Christmas mod, etc. So far they've laudably managed to avoid releasing an obvious cash-in sequel or neglecting the game after release.

    Guys, this game is on sale and I can't decide if I should buy it. I enjoyed L4D 1&2, but I'm not a huge multiplayer guy. Yea or nay?

    Unlike L4D, this is less about getting from point A to point B and more about surviving waves of progressively larger and harder enemies using weaponry paid for with British pounds. If you don't mind shooting lots of freaky zombies with everything from pistols to a LAW missile launcher and occasionally freaking out as they close in on you, then go for it.  Also, it's currently $6.80 on Steam! C'mon, you can probably spring for that much, and even if you don't like it you haven't tossed away that much money.

    Played the new map for about an hour. It was fun but nothing really major in terms of change.
