First of all, after playing the game for over 40 hours, this is one of the finest games you will play in this generation. Usually, I don't talk about graphics, sounds and all that good stuff in my reviews, because I am mostly worried more about gameplay and the mechanics then how pretty a game looks. With that being said, the game does look and sound pretty damn good.
Ok, so before I talk about the good stuff, some people still have doubts about the "slow" controls. To be honest, I was in the same boat after playing the demo...I LOVED CoD4, so coming to KZ2's controls was just BAD. Everything was slow, it felt awkward and to be honest, I just didn't like it. Well, the good news is, you can tone the sensitivity of the controls...granted, it is still slower, but once you get the hang of this, it wont bother you too much.
The best part about KZ2 is how the game handles multiplayer, and I am surprised more games haven't thought of this before. Instead of having one kind of game (death-match, king of the hill, ctf...etc), one game consists of 5 different modes; it works brilliantly simply because the teams don't change and it keep things complicated. Lets say you just got done playing CTF, you will have about 10 seconds and after that Objectives or protect a target will start, an awesome way to keep you hooked. A team that might be good at death match does not equal to them being good at CTF, a very nice way to keep things balanced.
The ranking system is also something to take note in. Yes, the system is similar to that of CoD4, but I felt like KZ2's was easier to earn...it was obvious that developers wanted you get to level up quicker so that everyone can be on the same page. It should also be noted that the maps are very nicely designed, and there really isn't a "hiding" spot...case in point, in "Search and Recovery" (aka CTF), if you have the flag, there is a big indicator to the opposing team of your whereabouts, making it lot more complicated when you are trying to find a "safe" way home.
Overall, I have been very happy with KZ2. I love the multiplayer so much that I rarely get to play the single player mission (I am about two save points beyond where the demo ended), but hope to finish it someday. If you are a PS3 owner, and want a great shooter, look no further. If you are a PS3 owner who does not like KZ2's controls, grow up and give this game a shot.
