3D is a terrible Idea, but jet packs make everything better.

There's something about Kotaku that pisses me off, the tone of their articles seem to be marinated in 15 year old hipster bs.

Also I want my 3D to not need the glasses and to look good all the time, so I want awesome holograms.

I may have hated Killzone 2's multiplayer (and I played over 60 hours of it) but I loved Liberation and KZ2 had a satisfying story. I'm not invested in Sev but I am still very interested in the Killzone Universe.

is sony going to have any games to show off at e3? they have shown three or four games already.
 
and do they have to render a screen twice for 3d or is that just some forms of 3d? because then maybe we can finally have split-screen co-op or co-op in general for KZ3.

 I can't help but find it funny that it has jet-packs just like Halo: Reach. I'm 100% confident that the jet-packs were in KZ3 long before Halo: Reach was ever shown, but I still find it kind of funny. Yo, we got jet-packs too!

All I care about is multiplayer.  The changing of modes within the same game was a very innovative feature that kept the action going while still keeping everyone on their toes.  And I actually liked the feel of the controls, before they added the new "precision" control scheme.  Made you feel like a person hauling some heavy gear instead of a camera with a gun propped up at the lower right-hand corner.
 
They need to fix the height issue, though.

Where did I ever say Halo was the FPS to bring jet-packs? I do find it ironic that Halo: Reach has jet-packs and now Killzone 3 is revealed a few months later with jet-packs. Killzone, the game originally dubbed to be a "Halo Killer". "

I liked Killzone 2, the story and characters where nonexistent, maybe they'll improve on that in the next one? Maybe not. But I'll pick it up.

Ugh. Just stop it with Killzone. It's such a desperate attempt at a blockbuster FPS series.

I thought Killzone 2 was one of the best playing FPS games in a very long time.  The first 'shots' of KZ3 look good, so hopefully 3D mode will just cut the resolution or something.  I don't want my non-stereoscopic KZ experience compromised.

Because Avatar made so much money, publishers and developers will think that 3D is the new way to go. I know a very small amount of people who would prefer to play games in 3D though. 

So, I assume it will be released no earlier than 2015.

So true. So much development costs will be wasted on making this game 3D, I have a feeling it may affect the actual game. It'll just make it gimmicky. You know, like when the girl Na'vi (I still don't know her name) shot the bow at the end of Avatar.  "

It's weird for me that Sony wants Killzone to be the best FPS out there, and yet the game fails to get any GOTY awards, even though it gets good scores.
I always felt like the game lacked something.. maybe it's just me though. Don't like Halp very much either, and that one gets all the attention, so..

Eh, I can't really get excited for this.  I'm decidedly anti-3D, but that's not really the problem for me here.  I really just couldn't get into Killzone 2.  I can see what everyone likes about it, but it just didn't strike home with me for some reason.  Sounds excellent for everyone who've enjoyed the first two games, though, and I hope it lives up to their expectations. 
 
The 3D is dumb though.  People are taking long enough to adopt Blu-Ray as the standard format for their HDTVs, which have only recently become mass market.  There's still a large percentage of homes out there packed with crappy quality sets.  I can't imagine that enough people out there own 3D-capable TVs to make this at all worth it for Insomniac.  And no one really wants to wear goofy-looking, red-and-blue glasses while they play their video games.  I hope.
