How badass is the next Kingdom Hearts game going to be?

Kingdom Hearts
The Kingdom Hearts franchise is a series of games conceived by fusing together popular elements of Final Fantasy story telling and classic Disney characters.
Man, if Disney now own Marvel....
Damn I would hate for Disney to Buy Marvel!!! I don't care about the Kingdom hearts games (Mickey and Spiderman should never be teaming up). I just think it will suck the life out of Marvel.
" It would be awesome if the Kingdom Hearts series didn't suck. Mmmhmmm. I sooooo went there. "Oh no you dih'hint!
I don't think the Disney part of the KH series would change but it'd be neat if they added a spin off for Marvel meets FF. Hmm, "FF" is Final Fantasy or Fantastic Four?
" It would be awesome if the Kingdom Hearts series didn't suck. Mmmhmmm. I sooooo went there. "I sort of agree....well, sort of. I honestly played the first two a little bit and never got into them. I have been shocked by the insane critical reception these games have gotten; it doesn't seem that special to me.
Nonetheless, the idea of Marvel merging with Disney makes the game sound that much more exciting.
" Damn I would hate for Disney to Buy Marvel!!! I don't care about the Kingdom hearts games (Mickey and Spiderman should never be teaming up). I just think it will suck the life out of Marvel. "I think Marvel has been doing a pretty good job of that on it's own.
Actually it happened a little while ago, here is the CNN coverage, Kotaku link and an IGN link thrown in for good measure. Sold for 4 Billion.

"they already bought it so yeah better get ready too see some spiderman action while he is wearing mouse ears in future marvel games

Why is it good that a giant floundering corporation like Disney, which has somehow retained the rights to a character that should have lapsed into public domain, acquire one of the biggest queues of iconic characters in the world? This is terrible news. According to the article, Marvel is doing this, according to Perlmutter, Marvel's CEO, to access Disney's infrastructure: "This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney's tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world." But the real reason seems to be because Disney posted serious losses last year...

a quick snippet:
- " Disney is coming off a quarterin which revenue fell by 7%, with pre-charge profitability tanking by 26%. Free cash flow took an even harder 40% tumble."
- "Marvel, on the other hand, posted a small dip in earnings on a head-turning 75% top-line surge. It looks impressive, but Marvel's results are always lumpy. It's a hit-driven business, with more jagged peaks and valleys than an Arizona horizon."
So it was a necessary move for Disney, although I'm not eagerly awaiting a crossover Spider-Man/Goofy comic.

said:They only make movies from their own unique intellectual properties, so barring a complete policy reversal, this will never happen, although I think the Pixar peeps are amazing storytellers and could do amazing things with it. We'll see." Nah just think of an animated marvel movie made by Pixar "
I'm not a HUGE fan of Kingdom Hearts, but I enjoyed the first one.

As far as I can tell, there isn't a topic about it on Giant Bomb yet. Weird. Don't we have comic fans on the site?
Disney owns Miramax, who released Pulp Fiction while owned by Disney. This image you fools have about Disney is so patently false. They protect their image insofar as what's released as a Disney product, if its too "hard edged", they release it under a different moniker, like Buena Vista or Miramax or any number of things. They don't draw on mouse ears. Ignorant, ugh.
But more to the point, Marvel never released anything more intellectually complex than what's going on in Pirates of the Caribbean, it just happened to be bloodier and newsflash, the movie adaptations take that aspect out so it can get the PG 13 rating. So basically, nothing changes. Maybe the Marvel animated movies look less shitty, that's about it. Better games. Nothing but good things.
We all know Marvel wants to get in on the MMO scene.
Kingdom Hearts MMO. And gaming as we knew it crawled up it's own ass.
There was an alternate thread started on this subject in the Marvel forum about an hour before this one arrived. But this one began focusing on the KH hypotheticals." As far as I can tell, there isn't a topic about it on Giant Bomb yet. Weird. Don't we have comic fans on the site? "
Disney Purcahses Marvel... For 4 Billon Dollars.
The board structure on this site and the mods' insistence that only one thread exist on a single topic makes finding topics far too difficult.
I don't think I'll care for a new KH game. The first was good & all but the second seemed to kill the originality for me.
That being said mega mergers like this are old news that get big money investors excited more than us little people. Disney is in a funk for the last few years & Marvel has been on a roll with the movie side of things. No comment on the quality of those films. Some have been attrociously bad! cough..Hulk..cough
As a comic fan & collector I'm more interested in what happens on the publishing side of things. I'll have to check out the Comic Vine site & see how they are reacting.
It shouldn't change anything. One thing you learn in econ is that the buying company in a merger will almost never change the product of the bought company because they wouldn't want to gamble with their current MO and screw profits. As for new IP's, though, I think it would be great if Disney commissioned some of those guys for making children's comics. Comics will die in our culture pretty soon, surely in two generations or so.
This may also mean some Marvel rides at Disneyland (how cool is that?).

But you'll never see a ride based on a Miramax film (though that would kick ass). I'm more inclined to believe they would make a Marvel theme park in the vein of Universal Studios. Sort of "interactive short story" rides, where you got 3d glasses or whatever and you're being driven through some huge fight.

I hope to god there isn't a game with crossovers from the Disney and Final Fantasy universes!
Oh wait...
" I don't want Sora playing with Batman, Smallville, Aquaman, etc... I mean, having Disney is acceptable, but putting marvel into it would probably spoil the game, imagine sora learning how to climb buildings like Spiderman... "Fail.
