I prefer to play games on my monstrous gaming PC, but as this is likely to be Origin only I'm open for opinions on other platforms. Has anyone seen any news or read any opinions that are driving you towards a certain platform? I wouldn't mind getting it for Xbox as long as it doesn't seem like a huge difference.

Edit: 38 just confirmed Reckoning will be coming to Steam.

PC. Cause 1080p at high frames is mana from heaven. Also - KB&M and 360 gamepad are seamlessly supported, which I love. Will play the demo on PS3 or 360.

On a sidenote. Origin is fine.

I am aware that Origin is fine, but by the same token Xbox 360 "is fine". Not being on Steam is at least enough that I'd consider the console versions.

I'll be getting it on 360 because that's what I've got.

My brother is determined to make me get Mass Effect 3 and he wants this on his PS3. I hate to break it to him but ME3's samey third person shooting can wait. Plus there's the little thing about me having an income and all...

I'll probably pick it up on PS3. I don't think I'll have my gaming rig built by the time this comes out which is a shame.

Most likely on my PC. It being on Origin doesn't really affect purchasing decision.

I'm not really convinced this is for me, since it looks basically like a cross between Fable and God of War and not at all like the Elder Scrolls as the early previews promised. Because of the console style gameplay, the console versions where demos and rentals are available makes the most sense to me.

Xbox 360, because I can never know when my computer will play a game without crapping out on me and I prefer to play games on the couch with a controller on a big TV (and I'm not in a position to connect my compy to my TV). If I ever find myself caring about playing the PC version (which is not unlikely, given that there'll surely be mods in some form at the very least for character customisation) I'll pick it up when it's super cheap at a later date.

I'll be getting it on the 360 because I only have a shitty laptop to play games on. Of course I wouldn't get it on PC because of Origins anyway. So 360 is more then likely the platform I will be getting the game on.

I don't even know how I feel about this game yet, but anything multiplatform (unless something goes horribly wrong) I buy on PC.

Still not sure what to make of this game, yet. Plus I just bought Dark Souls and will likely spend quite a bit of time with that. Then, I might jump back into Skyrim for a bit, check out some mods, finish up the quests I have left. This will probably have to wait until there is another RPG drought.

It looks like I might just meet the minimum requirements for PC, it's getting to PC upgrade time. I'll keep an eye out for how it plays on consoles.

Probably 360 version as that's what I buy most games on. Its too much of a gamble with my pc, some games will run 1080p 60fps and others will crash every half an hour. Consoles is always just the low hassle alternate for me. My pc is my steam sale machine, if they don't work I only bought them for a buck any way.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is in the Steam registry, so it'll almost certainly be available there.   38 Studios is independent too, so hopefully that'll mean it won't require Origin underneath.  Not that Origin's the worst thing ever or anything, I just hate that kind of obnoxious DRM layering that some GFWL games have been guilty of, and like to keep all my games in one place if possible.  Either way I'm picking it up on PC.

Like BF3, though, Mass Effect 3 won't be available on Steam.

If i do get it pc, Pc ports or just multi platform games in general have been a noticable good difference recently, long as this keeps up, If its Origin only thats a non issue, it takes me 2 clicks of a mouse to open Origin.

I will pick it up on PS3 as my gaming pc is woefully old at this point. I'm hoping to have the funds to upgrade my PC this summer though so if that is the case and I can grab it on sale or something I'll probably play it again on pc.

I'll wait and see how things turn out. I would like the PC version but I need to see if the menus and UI are scaled properly for that version.

Or, I just realized, I can just compare the demos. That should work.

Already pre-purchased on Steam. Although, my beefy system apparently can't handle this game terribly well. Insane framerate issues--particularly during cutscenes. Yet I can run Battlefield 3 like a dream... sigh at poor PC optimization.

Based off pre-release demo. So maybe that'll change.

Which usually leads to the 360 version being the best on console.
