Tied into the ongoing "swordorwhip.com" teaser, IGA's stand-in has been gaining new dialog with time over the week. Besides hints at the game itself, there's also a number of messages like above that indicate an announcement / stream on 5/11, this upcoming Monday.

Another interesting message: "We are meeting in the New World. An army of Igavania players and developers."

This is also likely related to the promotional material released during PAX last Fall during the Mighty No. 9 panel:

IGAcula on swordorwhip.com occasionally has messages about alchemists, sort of like the description text on that flier.

There's some indication that this involves Nicalis, Inc., as the links to swordorwhip.com were initially shared by their staff.

Was really only a matter of time. But his timing is very good in light of the Konami debacle.

Oh hell yeah! Ive missed Iga so much, his games have always been a highlight each console generation and his departure from Konami was really felt. Glad to see him getting himself back out there, it could be tricky launching a KS with both the wipeout guys and ex rare dudes running their own thing right now but i'd like to think Iga carries enough weight to carve himself a corner out somewhere.

Very interested to see this game. Looks like he isn't' straying far from his roots but doesn't mean it can't be great.

There's some highly dubious rumors that indicate that Michiru Yamane may be attached to this. I hope it's true!

WELP, the first overly official confirmation that this is in fact legit and not a prank of some kind. It doesn't get any more confirmed than "dudes hanging out with IGA who is rocking a dope ass throne". Monday is also confirmed as GO TIME.

Since the time they originally came out I've returned to the DS and GBA Castlevanias plenty of times, and always enjoy them. It's been a while since I last contributed to a Kickstarter, but I'm definetly all the way onboard with this if it means we can get another great one of those.

I do hope that whatever characters and world they've created has enough of its own identity. Castlevania definetly had a "every single horror monster or mythical being and also the kitchen sink animated with teeth" approach to its enemy design, which worked for where the series came from. I hope that this new thing doesn't go quite the same direction though.

Oh and the main weapon should be one of those shortswords that extend into a whip, naturally.

Holy shit just read the blurb at the top of the page, totally didn't realise he was involved in the tokimeki memorial games. IIRC, Kojima was really involved as well in some of them. This new game is going to be a Castlevania-Metal Gear crossover universe-themed dating sim!

I really hope this ends up being what I think it will be end up being. SotN and those GBA/DS Castlevania games are excellent.
