    Overview

    Kou Uraki is the protagonist of the anime OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, and has appeared in numerous games in both the Gundam and Super Robot Taisen franchises. He is an ensign and test pilot in the Earth Federation forces of the Gundam Universal Century timeline.

    Character Background

    In the year U.C. 0083, Kou serves as a rookie test pilot at an Earth Federation facility in Australia. On the night that the facility receives two new Gundam prototype units, Zeon ace pilot Anavel Gato sneaks into the base and steals one of the prototypes. In a bid to stop the theft, Kou jumps in and pilots the other Gundam, but is clearly outmatched by Gato's skill.

    After Gato's escape, Kou is made the official pilot of the Gundam as the Federation forces regroup to retrieve the stolen unit before Zeon chooses to use its equipped nuclear warhead.
