As the main antagonist of Project Justice, Kurow Kirishima endeavors to rid the world of the Imawano Clan and sow seeds of dissent and chaos throughout the local schools. He appears at various points in each school's storyline, either as himself or disguised as an evil version of Batsu named "Vatsu", to attack them. He is aided by his older sister Yurika and admirer Momo who make up the Darkside Student Congress. He is also capable of mind control through the use of his flute, which he used to turn Daigo Kazama into his loyal servant. He is sent to wipe out the Imawano Clan by the "Reverse Society" (who used to be members of the society also) after Hyo Imawano failed his mission from the year before. He does however have his own ambitions of world domination on top of this. Before the events of the game, Kurow attacks and hospitalizes Raizo Imawano and only spares his life believing he will be useful later. He then begins framing Batsu through a series of attacks on his friends as well as using his subordinates to cause chaos in the area.

After the truth starts to come to light he reveals himself to the characters chosen by the player as the mastermind behind the events. After being defeated he attempts to call upon a supposedly brainwashed Hyo Imawano to attack the player for him. Hyo reveals he had been faking being brainwashed the whole time in order to learn of Kurow's plan and challenges him. Hyo makes short work of Kurow but the fight awakens "Demon Hyo" who then turns his attention to the player. Following the battle, each storyline shows that Kurow was hospitalized but escapes leaving nothing but shredded bedding in his wake. If the player completes the Darkside Student Congress storyline, Kurow is seen surrounded by all the characters he has brainwashed into following him ready to take the next steps of his evil plan.

    Personality

Kurow is a mad assassin who works for the Reverse Society but harbors his own agenda of world domination. He is completely self-obsessed and shows little sympathy for those close to him including his own sister. He believes that people are mere tools to be used for his own benefit and hates being given orders. He is also a gifted actor, tricking everyone, except Hayato Nekketsu, into believing he is Batsu and also conceals his identity at one point during the Justice High storyline by behaving like a mild-mannered student.
