Brad's review on Rockstar Games.com
Why is the birthday there May 29 1947? OT: It's great they are being recognized more.
It was the first time I think I've seen a GB review highlighted like that. Also, I figured 1947 would be appropriate given the game's post war time period.

Overlooking your blatant circumventing of the completely worthless age gate Giant Bomb is getting more and more recognition from the industry. They're review of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts of Bolts appeared on the Platinum Hits version. Then you had Jeff talking on this past week's Bombcast about getting a stage at E3 next year. What a difference a few years makes.
That is the first time that I've seen Giant Bomb getting recognised by the industry. I am glad to see it though, as the site produces some of the most honest reviews of games that I have read and watched. Being honest means more than giving a game 5/5 because of the company that made it, as they can get some honest feedback from it and so on. I do hope that Giant Bomb continues to expand in this manner, without becoming the same as every other site.
I agree. In an industry that tends to rely on obfuscation, double talk, and trickery, it's nice to see GB and Whiskey being recognized, as I tend to trust their honesty and integrity more than most sites out there. That is the first time that I've seen Giant Bomb getting recognised by the industry. Wow, actually on the game box? That's a pretty big accomplishment, never saw it as I had purchased N&B soon after it's launch due to the high praise from Brad and Jeff back in the day. To be honest, the reviews on GB don't tend to get me to purchase games, it's the weekly run down of what people have been playing on the Bombcast that sometimes seals the deal. That's part of what I love about GB. Between the Bombcast, Happy Hour, Quick Looks and Features, you get to know the personalities & likes / dislikes of each of the staff. A numbered review probably won't help me make a decision to make a purchase, even from a site I trust. Hearing someone glow about a game they're still playing, or sharing in their frustration can.Overlooking your blatant circumventing of the completely worthless age gate Giant Bomb is getting more and more recognition from the industry. "I was a fan of giantbomb before they bought IGN." /hipsternerdhaha love it. But i was a fan of giantbomb before it became a website and it was just a blog!
@jkuc316: I LOVE THAT IMAGE MORE THAN MY WHOLE FAMILY! Edit: Hang on ... There is a space between Giant and Bomb :OYes, there is. That's how it's supposed to be.
I often write it as GiantBomb. One word, inter-capped.
Shouldn't be a surprise that Giant Bomb appears on official print when they have something nice to say about the game. The site is smaller than your IGNs or your Gamespots (though why that is, I'm not certain, given the content said sites don't provide), but it's still up there. Quality breeds a certain fanbase.
Hang on ... There is a space between Giant and Bomb :OThat's because the website is named Giant Bomb.
its good that this site is getting recognition. i honestly wish that this site blows up and retains its integrity
@CL60: @iAmJohn: @Rolyatkcinmai: Woah you guys are freaking out! It was a references to Jeff insisting that there shouldn't be a space on the new home page. It was just a joke, sorry if I offended anyone personally. :CNot freaking out, just stating a fact. And Jeff said it should have a space. The problem was the words were too scrunched together.

I love that Giant Bomb is getting this kind of recognition. "Charmingly garrulous" ey. Ryan, twitpic
