I never drive in the game. I mean, if their was actually something for me to do in the world besides streetcrimes I would drive but the world feels so rich and full of time commited but it has nothing for me to do. Just set location to another set location.

Only at first, then I realized LA Noire's not actually like GTA at all and driving is quite pointless, so I stopped.

Depends on the distance. I find the driving to be fun, with a good balance between the semi-sim of GTAIV, and a more arcade-y driving scheme like out of Saints Row 2. Sometimes I'll have my partner drive if I just can't be arsed, or if I'm retreading a case, but for the most part I'm the one behind the wheel, burning rubber at 50MPH.

Also, whenever the game forces me to drive, I almost always crash into cars, then it increases damage which hurts my star rating so fuck that

If there was more to do in the open world then i probably would have drove alot more.  I just let my partner drive me to the next case most of the time.

Only had my partner drive once, in the 'hold triangle to have partner drive' tutorial near the beginning, rest of the time I drove.
Huge, huge fan of Noir novels and films and 40's era America (even as an Englishman) so just experiencing the surroundings was enjoyable enough for me. To bewilder you all even more, I also stuck mostly to road laws, sticking to my side of the road, stopping at crossings etc. (I'm playing a cop, so tearing down the street, knocking down pedestrians is not something I would do.)

My first time through I drove just about every chance I could, I thought it helped add to the immersion, and I felt that Team Bondi put too much time and money into crafting the city to not see most of it.

But when I was replaying cases to five star them, I skipped most of the driving to save some time.

I drove all the time because I wanted the first playthrough to be affected of what I did without reading up on things or letting the AI do my stuff.

Though now, when going for S-rank, I am only driving to get the achievement but with no interest to drive more than that.

When I first play a case, always. I'm not going to short change myself from this game. But when I'm re-playing for 5-star rating, I always let my partner drive.

I'd drive even more if the driving were closer to GTA4 or Mafia 2's sim mode. The arcadey feel messes it up for me.

This is the correct way to play a Rockstar game. R* makes games where it's funner to role-play a character than most RPGs.

I drive.  I like hearing the character conversations and I like nabbing up any side-missions or hidden cars.

The world definitely feels a lot less alive and important than in GTA IV, but I still drive whenever I'm going to a new place or somewhere close by. I like to feel responsible for discovering new areas, but I just have my partner drive us back to the station or wherever.

Always end up driving even when I tell myself I won't. I just like to keep that sense of immersion in the 1940s L.A. world. Also, driving at night, when all the neon signs are lit up, is incredible. I do wish the open world wasn't so underutilized, but I am glad that it exists.

I like to immerse myself in the story, so I drove quite often. But if it's fuck far away, I'd fast travel.

Just as an FYI, you hear the conversations even if you quick travel.

I drove to all of the locations so that I could run into landmarks and so I could get the miles for the lead foot achievement. Now that I've beat the game and picked up those achievements I just fast travel during my mission replays.

I need to go over case notes most of the time so there's no time for driving.

    Depends.

If there's a side case or hidden car location relatively along the way or not too far out of the way, I'll drive.

If not, I'll let my partner drive. For anyone concerned about missing out on the conversations, they're still there if you let him drive.

Unless it was really far I'd drive.  I liked the immersion and just to look at how they did all their environments, and for the side missions too.

I mix it up, I enjoy the driving, but sometimes the next locations is either too far away or I just wanna get to the next piece of action.
Also, anytime I'm behind the wheel I more often than not hit another vehicle or lamppost or something which just ruins my rank.
