I am not a native English speaker. How do you guys pronounce L.A. Noire?
Every time I hear someone says L.A. Noire, I think I hear them say: "el anal war"
Is that the correct pronunciation? :D

How do you pronounce L.A. Noire?
El Ay No-Arr.
el-aye-nu-waaNice accent.
@JJWeatherman said:IDK, I like that hard "O" sound when I say it. I could see saying something more along the lines of "new" though.El Ay No-Arr.I don't think no is quite right. It's something between a nuh and a new. At least, the way I say it.
The L.A. part is just the letters," L" and "A". Its a nickname for Los Angeles (Spanish!) and has been for a long time. Noire is French (well it's noir with an extra e) for black. Have a listen:

my friend pronounces it "LA NOORIE" to be an ass.
Everyone saying "Nwar" is just silly to me. Nwahr or something would seem OK, but Nwar just seems wrong.@MordeaniisChaos said:

That's about the closest I can come to how an English speaker would say it. Noire is french, though.
My little brother - who is around 8 - calls it "la noray", which was funny initially but now is really fucking irritating.
It's a play on words. What's the explanation for the superfluous e on Noire?
"La" is the feminine version of "le" so instead of "le noir" it's "la noire." Since Los Angeles abbreviates to L.A, Bondi changed "Noir" to "Noire."
@GetEveryone said:It's definitely "el ay nwar" or "nwahr," but I'm not sure how to tell you which because it depends how you read those words on the left. Are you trying to say "noire" isn't pronounced like the English word "war"? If so, absolutely.Everyone saying "Nwar" is just silly to me. Nwahr or something would seem OK, but Nwar just seems wrong.@MordeaniisChaos said:

El Ay Nwar My friend insisted I pronounced Noire correctly, but I just feel like a douche when I do.
This.el ay nwar.
In IPA trancription, /nwar/, for those of you who know Phonetics and Phonology. The <e> is there because it's the feminine of "noir" and it's silent, as all (or most) of feminine markers in French. Since L. A. is a city, thus "la citée" in French, it seems appropriate. The only difference between French and English is that in English, the /r/ is not velarized, i.e. /ʁ/.
...the guy said LA Nor.I know how I'm saying it from now on.
