    Overview

Labrynth of Zeux is an ASCII-based action/puzzle platformer by Alexis Janson, released in 1993 for MS-DOS under the Software Visions label.

Playing the role of famed theologist Vince M. Louis, players must traverse the Labrynth in search of the legendary Silver Staff of Zeux. Each of its 50 screens feature a variety of monsters and traps, and several require the player to utilize bombs or keys scattered throughout. Labrynth also includes a level editor, allowing players to create and share their own challenges.

Labrynth spawned four adventure game sequels, all of which were released for Janson's game creation system, MegaZeux. Several years and versions later, Labrynth itself was ported to MZX by Alice Rowan under the corrected title of Labyrinth of Zeux. This updated version featured a new and completely original soundtrack, as well as 20 additional levels, created by fans of the series.
