A great actor and also a great video game performer. Sylens added so much to the Horizon series. And of course he was great in live action stuff too. This just sucks.

I'm in the middle of playing Forbidden West from the backlog and I'm really worried about how I'm gonna react when I first encounter Sylens again.

Lance Reddick was one of those actors that instantly elevated anything I saw him in. Glad we'll still get a few more projects of his post mortem, but just fucking gutted that he won't be around to see people enjoy his work anymore. Love to all his family and friends.

Just found out and it really sucks. He was a great virtuoso actor who could play any role and make it entertaining. Among all of his great work, he was the reason the failed Resident Evil Netflix show was worth watching. And of course as a gamer, the voice he gave to Zavala from Destiny and Sylens from Horizon will be hard to replace. Like many, I first discovered him during the show the Wire where he made me an instant fan of his work.

May he rest in peace.

More seriously, one of those premature/surprise deaths that made me really aware of the rhythm of my heart and how often I take deep vs. short breaths. Lance Reddick was the picture of physical health in a way I'm decidedly not...and yet here we are, "natural causes". It's disquieting.

He was great and this was really sad to hear, considering I'm going through the John Wicks this week.

He was also one of the best parts of Quantum Break, a role that was kind of under the radar.

As someone who turned around on Horizon after playing Forbidden West just last month, I think a lot of what made that game great was it's cast. It's a real shame to lose Lance Reddick, knowing he won't be able to come along to wherever that series is headed next.
