Larry Probst (aka Lawrence F. Probst III) joined EA in 1984 after spending two years at Activision. His first role at EA was as Vice President for Sales. It didn't take him long to rise through the ranks at EA however and he soon became CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the company and became President after John Riccitiello resigned in April 2004. When Riccitiello was re-hired as CEO in 2007, Probst assumed the role of Chairman. As of March 30th, 2013, Probst will again assume the role of CEO temporarily while a replacement is found for John Riccitiello after Riccitiello issued a letter of resignation on March 18th, 2013.
