    Overview

The late title card (also referred to as an "intertitle") is a concept that originated from film. Video games heavy on story, such as the Uncharted and Metal Gear franchises, have adopted the late title card motif. Title cards are usually featured at the very beginning of the story experience, typically before any gameplay. These games serve as the exception to this rule.
