    As Alfendi Layton, the son of the famed Professor Layton, players must help the police solve puzzling crimes by examining evidence and piecing information together from within Alfendi's office, nicknamed "the Mystery Room". Originally planned for a Nintendo DS release in 2010, the game was eventually released for the US iOS app store on June 27th, 2013.

    Story

    Renowned police detective Alfendi Layton, who is the son of Hershel Layton, and rookie Lucy Baker, his obvious love interest, are two investigators in the precinct's "Mystery Room". Never stepping outside the room, they have to solve several difficult cases by examining evidence and using logic.

    Gameplay

    After inspecting evidence and interviewing suspects, players reconstruct the scenes of crimes by placing people, weapons and objects into a photo reel of a scene. By doing that, a textual reconstruction of the crime is filled in. Answering questions from Alfendi about inconsistencies with the witness statements and evidence will lead the user down the path to the truth.
