Scorpions are an eight-legged arachnids with two large pincers and a venomous stinger on the tail, used to kill or subdue prey and defend against aggressors. Though their sting can be very painful to humans, few scorpion species can kill a healthy adult.
Skags are vicious, dog-like creatures found in Borderlands. Skags will attack anything that isn't another skag on sight, tearing into them with razor-sharp claws and teeth, and their ability to jump surprising distances for facial attacks. Some have even developed the ability to spit wads of corrosive acid at prey.

Although they rarely attack people in most places, they will bite the person, iflicting painful liquids or venom, however most have been said that they inflict more itchiness than venom.
