Bernard Strauss was the first science director of the UESC Marathon. He was presumed to be in control of the A.I. Durandal prior to the Pfhor attack of 2794.
The main protagonist from Bungie's Marathon series. The otherwise nameless Cyborg is a soldier from the battleroid project from the 21st century and was put aboard the colony ship Marathon when it was launched.
Formerly an A.I. construct in charge of mundane ship functionality aboard the UESC Marathon, Durandal went fully rampant sometime in the year 2794. His activities following this event are one of the major focuses of the Marathon series.
A mechanical engineer who was abducted from Tau Ceti by Durandal, Robert Blake assists the player during Durandal's absence in Marathon 2.
