So I haven't yet got around to buying Left 4 Dead. Obviously i've heard great things but I was wondering if the online community is still strong enough, or if I should just wait for the sequel. If I do get it, it's going to be for the PC cause my 360 aint hooked up to the interwebs. So what do you guys think, is it still worth buying?

I'd say so, yeah. The characters are really iconic in the game, and I don't think they will be in the second one. With the new DLC coming out I'd imagine the online community will be as busy as ever. But I only play on XBox so can't speak for the PC, I'm afraid.

Definately, the online community is usually pretty cool as well.

At this point I'd wait for the DLC then decide. Especially if you're considering buying it's sequel.

If you can get it used for cheap, then I'd say so. you can buy it for around $30 on ebay, and the price is only going to get cheaper. It's a hell of a lot of fun, and Valve said that they'd support both games in the future so hey, why not? 
Left 4 Dead 2: $60, Melee weapons and maybe some other features, wait a few months
Left 4 Dead: $30, all of the content now and future free DLC, play it right now.

PC absolutely, 360 I'd have to think about.

Left 4 Dead 2 is gonna be the same game as Left 4 Dead 1, so i say that you should save some money, bu getting the first one, along with the free dlc since your using your pc

On 360, fuck no.  The community is relatively assholish when it comes to doing campaign modes, and you'll find far more team killing than there originally was at launch.  People have decided to just be assholes since there is no penalty for team killing, and since there is no leaderboards, they just like to troll the game.

You should definitely pick it up.  Left 4 Dead is a great game to play with a group of friends and go off capping zombies.  Well worth it

I would say wait for L4D2 but since you're getting it on PC go for it. This game rules.

left 4 dead for the PC yes. maybe wait for the download content to come out. i got it for the 360 and now  i say i should have gotten it for the PC. i don't know anyone who still plays left 4 dead anymore.

Absolutely.

Can't say about the first game but L4D 2 is great, anyway if you are going to buy it needs to be on the PC where you got so much more content.
