    Left 4 Dead puts players in the role of one of four survivors during a zombie apocalypse. Survivors will depend on co-operation to get from one safe house to another, while facing hordes of "Infected", four of which can be controlled by human players in certain game modes.

    The title is wrong. Its not Left 4 Dead. Its Left 4 MOTHERFUCKING ITS BRILLIANT Dead. Thats how good it is.

    Zombies and games go together like butter and toast. Its fulfils our desires to shoot something without that person being a human. Left 4 Dead transports us to various modern day apocalypses based around a location. A hospital, a riverside town, an airport or a farm. Just like the classic horror films you have to go from one safe places to another, trying not to die in the stereotypical way.

    What makes it brilliant is the AI. They act how zombies should and scare the crap out of me in a way the fast zombies in HL never did.They seems so nice and calm when they are at long distance and then BAM a swarm of the bastards are on top of you, with john shooting you repeatedly in the face by “accident”. Moments arrive that are brilliant with the entire group screaming at each other. And the pacing is brilliant with highs and lows which allow you to sit back and calm down. Its a game of an 80’s action film, full of people shouting “GO ON WITHOUT ME” when your outside of a safe room and your downed.

    Played with humans the game is one of the best ever. But even with AI its still fun. Have a quick blast through on a lunch time or free period and you can shoot over 9 million zombies. And even better, the levels are filled with comic touches, using a similar style to Portal. Most of these messages are fucking hilarious like the one that says “NO ZOMBIE IS SAFE FROM CHICAGO TED!” or the smart remarks like "We deserved this","Maybe you deserved it but i sure didn't" or one I agree with “I miss the internet”

    There are however issues. Content is limited to four campaigns and versus mode to only two. On the topic of versus, the sides seem very imbalanced, with the infected not being fun to play against a good team. But the game is brilliant. Its not something you play everyday, its something you pick up every so often to have a blast with friends. It will be the main game we play at my LAN party in March and because of that reason the night will be brilliant.

    I give Left 4 Dead on PC 90% for being an outstanding co op games
