    Legendary Review

Legendary is a First Person Shoot in which you will be playing the role of Charles Deckard, international thief and gun for hire. You're assignment is to break into a museum and unlock Pandora's box. Sadly that all happens before you take control of the game, the game is the aftermath of what happened after the box was open. You'll have to fight through mythical monsters to get to the man that set you up for defeat.

The sounds and music have their moments. The music for one, on some stages, rocks, but there are other times where they might as well not play music.

The graphics are overall pretty solid, there are some clipping issues (times where you'll see the insides of something you're not suppose to, or there will be times where items will disappear because you're too close), but overall you're going to find the monster designs exactly how you'd envision them. The guns, in my opinion, don't look all that different from each other, sure each has different ammo and whatnot but I went through the game feeling like I had a gun, not different guns.

The controls would be a keeper if the freaking jump mechanism actually worked. I have never seen someone lack getting airborne this much in a game. The real strange thing happens when you sprint and jump, then all of a sudden you're able to leap long distances, but yet you can only jump 2 inches off the ground. The reload button is the same button you use to interact with items, which can really suck when you're being chased by something and you're trying to interact with an object real quick, and you end up reloading your gun. I will say that I did find the button mashing for when a hairy werewolf got close to you enjoyable, but that really didn't happen all that much.

Now the true downfall of this game is its gameplay. This game sounded like it could have some serious potential, but I feel that it fell flat on its face. The levels are part of the problem. This is one of  these games where you kill enough bad guys and magically a door opens all by itself. There are also other times where you clean an area out and then get a cutscene and find that all that you just did has been cancelled and you have to do it again. Fighting mythological monsters is fun, but not so much when there really isn't that big of a variety, and the majority of them tale forever to kill. The last nail in the coffin for me was the difficulty, now I'll admit I'm not a FPS expert, but in order to get past 25 minutes in the game I had to restart the game on easy instead of normal. Easy I felt actually allowed me  to experience the game, and have some challenge to it as well. There are apparently objectives and hints that you will have the chance to pick up through the game, but to be brutally honest I didn't so much as open the PDA that houses all the information for the game, I didn't feel that it was really integrated into the game well. Finally the hacking of doors was amusing, I would have liked to have some interaction there instead of holding the X button and watching wires magically move in front of me.

If you are looking for a FPS that doesn't have a cover mechanic, allows only 2 guns at a time, whose aiming mechanics are going to take a couple of hours to get down, and you'll ultimately feel that the game you want to play isn't the ending, then this game is for you. If you are like me and want something that I understand right off the bat, or quickly thereafter, and a game that I find interesting and challenging in many aspects, this game isn't for you. Legendary for the XBOX360 gets a 5.3 out of 10.

      Gamecock Was Terrible 0

In an attempt to make up for the truly horrible Turning Point, The Spark, along with their publisher Gamecock (hoping to make up for the much-maligned Hail to the Chimp) released Legendary, a FPS where you play the role of an art thief who unleashes mythological creatures by accidentally opening Pandora's Box. Not a bad premise.Sadly, the game is crap. Pure crap. Unadultered crap. I've seen less crap in a Mexican restaurant after a salmonella outbreak. At this point, the world would be ...
