The young adopted daughter of Butch Johnson and Charlotte Dickens-Johnson. Raised from an early age, she grew up as part of the famous Dickens family and picked up their detective skills. Due to her inquisitive nature and abundance of enthusiasm she was keen to join her family in their work, despite the Commodore's reluctance to let her join but this was resolved when she proved her usefulness in her parents cases. Ling-Ling is also responsible for inventing several pieces of technology that the Dickens Detective Agency use when solving a crime (including the lie detectors the player puts of pieces of testimony during the game). One of her pieces of in game dialogue is a parody of Jack Nicholson in the shining where he says "Here's Jonny!", but instead she says "Here's Ling-Ling!".
