I am having a lot of problems with LittleBigPlanet 2... I believe that they are (mostly) server related, but it is pissing me off.

The main issue is infinite load screens... I try to join a level but it keeps on loading... and loading... and loading, forcing me to quit and restart the game. Very frustrating!

Is anyone else having these kind of issues?

I had that happen once also, and the workaround for it didn't work for me. Other than that, that's the only major issue I've come across and I've been playing this game a lot.

Here's what worked for me:
 Press the Playstation button on your controller, then scroll to your friends list and click on somebody's profile. It worked, almost everytime.

That happened for me, apparently one fix is to turn off your controller and turn it back on. That should fix the infinate load.

Just sign out of PSN.

For me - when the loading screen doesn't actually load the level, I just cancel out of it with the circle button and then re-enter the request and I'm usually in within four seconds.  Has not been that big of a deal and I am thoroughly enjoying the game.

well I you posted this today so I assume you are having issues mainly today because I am as well.
 
Earlier this week it wasn't bad at all.  First weekend...looks like the game is taking a hit hard or something.  The loading is taking forever (so long that it starts suddenly playing an intro movie for me) and it gets hitched up a lot.  If you are connected to PSN while playing singeplayer it screws it up as well so your best bet is to disconnect from it.  
 
I've been just playing singleplayer today...shame I wanted to hop online a bit as well.

 The servers have seemed to be especially bad today, I didn't notice any problems like this the first few days, but today's been pretty horrible.  Took the PS3 offline and just messed with trying to ace and 100% sticker some story levels while hopping it'd work itself out.  Did the European launch really add that much server load?

had a similar issue with the first game, it cleared up after a while,like a bad rash...

New games are glitchy because it's easier to ship with a couple thousand bugs than spend another two months of dev time and money trying to hunt them out when it's guaranteed you won't find all of them.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is a new game.

Expect a patch very soon. They usually fix such a major bug quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened tomorrow or tuesday but I'm guessing at least this coming week.
