Wow is this game F**ing Awesome...... 0

I would just like to say the users on this site that gave this game bad reviews dont know what a amazing game is soooo dont listen to their dumb ass comments. Littlebigplanet is a create it yourself platformer, and it is made by now one of my favorite develepers Media Molecule. First of all i was dying for this game for a while, and when i got it on day one it was probably the best day i have ever spent playing on a videogame. The story mode that media molecule made was a lot better than i expec...

This game is so much more than just a platformer 0

Play. Create. Share. That is Sony's and Media Molecule's moto with this game. And, for the most part, all 3 of these parts of the game succeed in what they try to do. Play. So, while the game is based mostly on customization of the LBP community there is still about 50+ levels made by the Media Molecule crew. There are 5-6 "sections" that have 3 or 4 levels a piece. You'll go into a city, a desert, a frozen wilderness, and some other things. The levels all have a wide variety. Basically t...

    Little Big Awesome! 3

Where to begin? First of all I was not part of the LBP Beta so I really had only videos shape my idea of the game until I at last bought it the Saturday before its official Tuesday release. I have played through basically all of the single player campaign (just missing to get all the goodies) and have mucked around in the online portion now that the servers are on. Let me tell you that this game is phenomenal. I also tried the creator mode and got some stuff (nothing special yet) done. I think I...

    Little Big Planet Review 0

The Playstation 3 has had a few platform exclusive games for the fanboys to argue about when defending their favorite systems this generation against the 360.  Is this shooter better than that shooter?  This system has better role-playing games, that one has better downloadable materials.  This system has to download games longer for lesser load times, that one has really ugly avatars you are forced to make.  This system costs a HELL of a lot less than THAT one right now.In a PS3 vs 360 world, w...

When Littlebiplanet was announced, some people thought Baah, Children's game or maybe it's another one of those Nintendo Wii Rip offs. Littlebigplanet was thought to be a extremley pointless and shallow game, no one would have the guts to mention Littlebigplanet to Xbox Fanboys and expect to come out of the Forum alive. Let's face it Littlebigplanet was a laughingstock underpinning its announcement. Well rest assured Littlebigplanet even hearts the maturity side of gamers and is more of a unique...

This Christmas the nice folks over at Media Molecule - creators of the ridiculously cute LittleBigPlanet - decided to team up with Konami to give us, the fans, a little gift. “What could this be?” You might ask. “Some new character skins?” As is the norm on LittleBigPlanet at the moment. Well… yes, but not only that because they’ve also decided to give us a level pack. Now you must really be intrigued, but it’s all very obvious really. Take two of PlayStation 3’s biggest games and mash them toge...

A nation is only as strong as its people. 0

LittleBig Planet: The forerunner of the “Game 2.0” movement, a 2D sidescroller that allows the common man the power to create their own levels. Story : The supposed storyline existence behind the world of LittleBig Planet is that all stray bits of imagination from human minds floats up and condenses in space as part of this giant planet. I know this to be a lie, judging by the lack of breasts in LittleBig Planet. Calling the “Story” mode of LittleBig Planet a “Story” mode is the second lie this...

    A Binge Gamer Re-Review: LittleBigPlanet 1

By Perry Piekarski • March 1, 2009 [Edit] I remember first hearing about LittleBigPlanet. Initially I didn’t think much of it, but as I saw more and more of the game, I admittedly got a bit giddy: “Man, that’s a freakin’ sweet physics engine!” “Ooo! Wait a sec, so I get to MAKE MY OWN GAME?!?!” “Oh, man! An original, next-gen, 2.5D platformer? It’s about damn time!” And so on. I was enticed by the title and—for some strange reason—Sackboy’s eerie, Tim Burton-esque cuteness. I...

What Do You Mean My Sack Looks Like A Girl? 0

I know it's been a long time coming but you know I do have a life outside of this blog, which surprisingly takes up a teeny bit of my time. Anyway the game isLittle Big Planet, if you've never heard of it, chances are you were looking for some kind of astronomy article and not, as it were, a game review. Alas if you have read this far your probably in the right place.LBPis the second venture from the guys at Media Molecule, whom you may know from their previous titleRagdoll Kung Fu. A little kno...

One of the best local multiplayer experiences 0

Yes, level creation is fun. Yes, the high customisability is great and part of the game's fantastic charm. But what stands out most to me is just how damn fun this game is to play as both a pick-up-and-play party game and a massive timesink. I've played it with friends, family, as a couple, with little kids and everyone is consistently taken by the charm of the game. The levels that ship with the game are thoughtfully designed and I enjoyed the huge secrets hidden in areas. Now, onto the second ga...

More than Lives Up to Its Name 0

Little Big Planet is a sidescrolling platformer, much like the original Super Mario brothers with an added physics engine. But instead of a pair of Italian plumbers, Little Big Planet stars an adorable little mascot with the unfortunate name Sackboy. He is a tiny doll sewn together from burlap, with shiny black buttons for eyes and a wide, expressive mouth.Little Big Planet would almost certainly have crashed on takeoff without Sackboy's irresistible cuteness. Besides running around and jumping...

    LittleBigPlanet Review 0

I've been trying to hold off on this review for a while now because every time I played I felt like I was getting opened up to new stuff. This is a game that starts off as a platformer where you will take yourself through a story mode and unlock goodies that you can then customize your starting spot with and your character. Your character is affectionately called a sackboy, but once you start getting items that you unlock by going through levels you'll see that you can definitely reinvent  it.Th...

    Little Big Planet Review 0

For the longest time, PS3 owners have been developing an inferiority complex. Having bought the most expensive, highest powered and arguably the best value current-gen console on the market, they have been faced with the simple fact that the amount of games that it can play exclusively is pitiful and the cross platform titles are almost always inferior to the 360 versions. Having lost GTA4’s exclusivity and the fact that MGS4’s launch seems like a distant memory, PS3 gamers have been looking des...

Little Big Planet is a 5/5 advnture that you shouldnt miss if you own the playstation 3. This is  one of the best exclusives beside the halo 3 ive ever played. This game has alot of stuff to colect in the levels and if you have the playstation eye you can take a picture and add a comment to it. There ar alot of missions int the campaign about 5 or more per level and maby 3 or more side  missions per level. There are 8 or 9 levels but the missions are short so the game isnt long. LBP 0

They say some games are unlimited possibility's which they are really not and end somewhere but this game LBP is unlimited, and will never end. People will be making new levels, which will be nonstop fun. All the cool costumes you wear which are really neat. The game play which is basic, becomes unreal in all the things you can do by just run&jump. When I first played it i was over whelmed in what you can do. I like it because it's online, it's ment for online play. The story mode is just to...

This game is one of the greatest games I have ever played. It's innovative, creative, and it takes your imagination into a video game. Gameplay: Very simple platformer with a slight twist of how to beat your levels. Graphics: Extremely cute sackpeople running around dressed like no tomorrow. Tools: You can create your own maps, characters and so much people. Multiplayer: Addictive and so much fun. SUCKS YOU IN O_O This game will keep you going for a very long time, even though I just rece...

Little Big better than nintendo planet! 0

The Good – Fun, ol skool style, side scrolling platformer.  Oozes with so much charm that you’d think Nintendo was behind it. Huge variety in levels within the single player game, covering many themes and objectives. High level of quality in the graphics department, from the cuteness of your character(to which you can have him or her in many styles ) , to the wild and quirky feel of the levels. Co-op gameplay, when’s that ever bad? Huge online component in that you can create your own levels, or...

    Play. Create. Share. Awesome. 0

LittleBigPlanet from MediaMolecule is an innovative 2D platformer that will blow your mind; this game isn’t just a platformer though. MM introduced Play. Create. Share to Sony. With this, LBP’s core-idea was born. This game really sprouted a beautiful community, and stays true to its motto. You start this game by PLAYing, obviously. Starting out doing the set-piece story missions is enjoyable, but that is just the beginning, and doesn’t really show the full potential of the game. From h...

    Littlebigplanet exceeds all expectations 0

I bought litlebigplanet about a year, to see what is was like.  At first I didn't get my hopes too high, it looked like an average platformer with some kiddy elements.  the game was like the Jesus Christ of games (God being OOT) with amazing controls, great graphics, fun and challenging levels, plus user friendly tools.   that's another thing I want to talk about, the level creator mode.  At first, I was never very creative about the making of levels, but now I've got very good levels on the wa...

If you have a PS3 you must buy LittleBigPlanet. There are no words to describe how much fun it is to Play, Create, and Share.  The only con for me was that you couldnt share costumes with other people so that they could have them. Otherwise: one of the best games on the system....

The Pod. I'll admit I didn't see what the big deal was with LittleBigPlanet when it came out, I saw reviewer after reviewer giving it 5/5 or 10/10 and still wasn't sold. That might have to do with the fact that I didn't own a PS3 at the time and was kind of jealous. It wasn't until I got onto Giantbomb and saw the LittleBigPlanet Quick Look that the game really hit with me. I have spent a good amount of time with the game since I have gotten and it haven't taken it out of my PS3 in ab...

    Creative genius 0

Little Big Planet is both revolutionary and old fashioned in equal measure. Essentially it is a 2D platform game construction set. But such a description doesn’t do the game justice when you consider the sheer scope available to players and creators alike. With thousands of user created levels already in existence and the impossibly cute Sackboy, Little Big Planet should have something for everyone. Unfortunately, it is not a flawless experience: the floaty jumping never feels right and restrict...

From day one LBP was a highly ambitious project. A game and video game designing tool rolled into one cute package. Things could have easily fallen flat, it could have been a good 2D platforming game with a few tacked on tools, simple level design, no real depth. Or, the whole thing could have proved over ambitious, and become vaporware. Luckily for us, MediaMolecule proved up to the task, and then some. LBP is split into three areas: PLAY - CREATE - SHARE so I thought I'd split the review into...

As corny as the title is, all truth behind it. A brief look back at the past, will show how important I feel this game is to the industry and it's future. When I was a youngling, roughly around the age of 7, games like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot pretty much owned my childhood and became my icons. For my friends? It was Mario, and even - dare I say? Pikachu. The gamer generation before had Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, etc. Their have always been video games that connected with children, and kept the...

In littlebigplanet people have imaginations and all those imaginations go to a planet and you go off and do all these crazy missions. Let's start with the good things of littlebigplanet.LBG looks great. All the levels in the game have it's unique look. Every level you play looks different than the level you played before. There are 8 chapters that have 3 level each but the last chapter has 4. Usually in each level you find keys that unlock challenges. We are talking about 25 levels and about 15-...

LittleBigPlanet is a must own for all PS3 owners! 0

Wow. My first review really is on a very positive note. Ok. Lets get the important things done first. LittleBigPlanet is the best game on the PS3 at the moment. Graphically, it's amazing, with colourful cartoon graphics, awesome lighting, shadows and the most important - a great, smooth consistent frame-rate, making gameplay a blast. Basically the aim of the main story in the game is to play through about 40 levels made by Media Molecule, the games developer. These levels really show off the tit...

LBP is a great art project accompanied by a decent game. 0

Littlebigplanet is many things; a video game, an interactive art project, an outlet through which creativity can flourish. But the fact remains that first and foremost, LBP is a platformer video game, and while the artistic and creative aspects of the game outpace all competition, the gameplay that holds these aspects together does not. That's not to suggest that LBP is unplayable; far from it, the simple controls and solid framerate should make for a very playable game. However, something about...

Playing through the single player story is absolutely fantastic, and you can play through it with friends at any time, if you want to change it up, everything is multiplayer as well, it's great! The levels in the game get continually more and more complex, all while the game play is incredibly simple, and fun. The game includes a Level Creator, you can publish your created levels up into a online lobby with-in the game, and make in very easy to search for other users levels and play them, either...

Innovation is a big risk to take and Little Big Planet succeeds 0

With the PS3 looking for its first “console seller”, here comes Little Big Planet, the first game out of the developer Media Molecule and well, it might just be the game the PS3 has been looking for. There is no real story to Little Big Planet.  The basic premise is that the dreams that the people on Earth have come to a place called Little Big Planet.  This is just a basic story to let players really get into the game, but it really doesn’t matter.  It’s just an excuse for little Sackboys to go...

Sony's field of bad dreams. 0

Little Big Planet is not the kind of game that a major publisher or console-maker whose name doesn’t begin with an N usually pushes to the holiday forefront. On the Microsoft side of the aisle, there are massive, multi-million copy-selling games like Gear of War 2 and Fable 2; both completely exclusive and both at least reasonably good. Sony, on the other hand, used up its biggest named exclusive much earlier this year and has only Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 to pick up the slack along with Li...

LittleBigPlanet isn't quite the savior of the Playstation 3 that some hoped it would be, but it's still a fun and completely charming game that will theoretically never run out of new content. You know the game is going for a different audience than the Gears of War crowd when you first start it up and are greeted and told how to play with pleasant, humorous narration from Stephen Fry, who happily teaches you throughout the game. The graphics are very good technically as well as design-wise, and...

    Excellent ideas, average execution. 0

When you think of 2D platformers, chances are you won't think of an endearing, family friendly PS3 game starring puppets without strings and Stephen Fry. After playing Littlebigplanet you certainly will -- like it or not, Littlebigplanet has forever changed the face of 2D platforming. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is debatable -- Littlebigplanet outclasses most (if not all) 2D platformers in terms of presentation and innovation. Once the initial sense of ingenuity wears thin, howeve...

LBP is a innovative game that is community driven. It has a short story mode taking between 4 to 6 hours to complete, but the levels get more brilliant and beautiful as you move forward. You learn the skills to play and play the way you want to play. You can customize and create your own little part of LBP.  A great game to play with friends and family alike in story mode or online. Everything in the game is physics based. You travel through LBP as a cute little rag doll known as a sackboy, as y...
