All right, what game would you say has the absolute best loading screens?

I'm talkin' screens which genuinely entertained you while you were waiting for shit to get together behind the scenes.

My vote? As stupid as the game was, MadWorld for the Wii. That one load screen where the poor little stick figure just rolls endlessly (and dismembered) on top of a rocket train made me laugh every time.

DMC had nice ones that were breakable, I used to like button mashing just to see if I could break it.

I like interactive loading screens like Fifa.

Fifa loading are really cool, i dont get bored... so yeah basically like Hairdutchman

Killzone 2 loading screen is fun to mess with.

MG4, well the installing screens. Watching Snake smoke while being told smoking is bad only made me want to smoke more.

Assasins Creed's loading screen was fun.

oh man, I don't remember which one, but one of the Test Drive games on the PS2 let you play pong during the loading screen.  It kept track of your score and everything.  Sometimes I would sit there for like ten minutes even after it was done loading just playing pong.

super smash bros, Brawl had that cool waiting screen for multiplayer where you hit the sandbag.... i dont know if that counts

No More Heroes had a pretty sweet one.

Onechanbara for the 360. You can slash zombies on a 2D plane. 

Ridge Racer on PS1

The Darkness covered its loading screens with little speeches from the main character.  Just his character model in a black void.  He'd give more information about the story or tell a tale about some taxi driver he used to know.

Anyone remember the budikai games loading screens? they always had weird mini games like grow Saiba men or spin Master Roshi. I thought those were fun.

I really liked the loading screens in The Darkness. I think they were very well made.

Definitely The Darkness, although sometimes I wish they did a few more to prevent repetitiveness.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts had some funny ones.

No More Heroes had a little spinning star that you could change the color of and move up the screen by pressing B. Neat little distraction.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva has some really nice looking ones, and some not so good. But thats if your into the whol "moe" stuff.

I like the loading screen in Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3.  You rotate the analog sticks and Saibamen will come out.

NBA Live has had a shoot around loading screen for a while now but it started as a way to mask the incredibly long load times so I can't say I like it. I really prefer the 2K series over the Live series overall.

Fifa 09 was pretty cool while it was loading, it let you play shoot on the goalie to warm up.

Fallout 3 had some cool statistics and information presented to you while loading a new area.

I loved moving that little bubble thing around the loading screen on Wave Race: Blue Strom. No More Heroes has a good one also, in my opinion.

Half-Life loading screens... because there weren't any.
