I think it was free a little while ago so maybe most people that want it got it already but anyway, it's free on the Xbox marketplace for everyone for a limited time.
Edit:

Edit:
Thanks for the info! Strangely out of the hundred overlay things on the xbox dashboard, none mention this.
@wikitoups: I believe you can. It weigh-in at around 20gb.
The real FFXIII right here folks, don't be fooled by that bullshit Square put out. All the Thousand Years of Dreams stuff is the best written JRPG stories ever.
Here is the link to the game so you can just download it from the website: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Lost-Odyssey/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5307fa
It's worth noting that Blue Dragon is also announced as backwards compatible (although not free). I never played either of them but they seem inextricably linked in my mind back when MS was trying to curry the favor of the Japanese market
Boy do I love this game. I ended putting like 40 hours into a rental copy of the game and managed to beat it in under a week. I wonder if I uploaded the save into the cloud at any point...

To be precise they have already announced the games as backwards compatible, this is just MS putting them up on the digital storefront, which is nice because the games were out of print and so you had to pick up a used copy (not that they were SUPER expensive.)
It's even nicer when you get Lost Odyssey for free.
As someone who cares about game preservation I really love this kind of thing. Lost Odyssey was a popular title so there were lots of them floating around out there, but now an old, beloved, game is easily accessible again.
Can anyone give me the elevator pitch on this game?
Traditional JRPG where you play an immortal guy who has lost his memory, but they are starting to resurface in a changing world. Beautiful graphics, memorable music, very cool side-stuff in the form of written stories you find around the world.
Think a high quality off-brand Final Fantasy type game from the PS2 era, but with Xbox 360 visuals, and I think you're not far from it.
@bigsocrates: That sounds incredible!
