This game, in my opinion, wasted several good opportunities for twists and turns in the story I believe.
Kaim was "immortal" right? So, you could've had the first fight in the beginning happening a century before the game with a fully powered Kaim (abilitease) and then your mind erased and then send you to do another minor task and the meteor drops and whatever.
They could also later, when joining Kaim's grandchildren, the time could fly by for unknown reasons and Mack and Cooke could be older and powerful along with Jansen, being an old pervert  but amazing geezer as Master Roshi and etcetera.

And so you could pull several time changes in the game making perhaps more interesting? With these immortals and stuff.

You could also see the transformation of society as the time passed by.

    Meh, two cents.

Mack , Cooke and Jansen could be a lot older if a sequel was made. There are many different things that they could do with the characters.

Right. I don't think they did anything wrong in terms of the story. Since

    **SPOILERS**

The Immortals were sent to observe the humans for 1000 years(1 year their time), so seeing Mack and Cooke, for example, age, would not be correct for the storyline, since the year that the game takes place in is their last year on the planet.

Good point, but I don't think that is the way the developers wanted to take the story. They wanted to focus on who the characters were and their development throughout the game, not focusing too much on the past or the future.
