Seriously, don't have a witty title this time due to me currently dressing up due to me having to leave to pick up flowers and then bring it to a special woman today.
Anyways, gaming has a lot of love stories, some are good, some are bad, some are controlled, some are fought for, some are non-fightable, and others are open ended. We've all played our share of romances that inspired us about what really was back when we were children. As we grew older we played games like Mass Effect and MADE love (even to some alien bitches).
Love is a very deep feeling that can't just be gained in seconds, it has to develop. The seed must be planted, time in the plot must grow, there must be a part when the couple is lost, and a time when they reunite.
Final Fantasy does this to a science, some of the other JRPGs do it to, Heavy Rain did a great job of it too!
Let's talk, what's your favorite love story in a game?

The single most important thing in the world, love is a powerful story telling element that can connect characters or drive a story. There are many video game characters who have fallen in love with someone or something.
Let's Talk - What's Your Favorite Love Story In Games?
I'm gonna get the obvious outta the way. Digital: A Love Story. The story part is actually not bad. It's the rest that's not so great.
What about the two guys from Army of Two? There was actually a button in that game to hug (or fist bump).
Dragon Age: Origins has a great love story if you choose to pursue it. Also Max Payne games don't really have a "love" story, but still i like the type of femme fatale interaction with Mona.
Shadow of the Colossus or maybe Donkey Kong...that god dam Mario is always c-blocking DKs game with Pauline
" The 2008 Prince of Persia game "That was my first thought.

I'm not sure which one you're talking about, but I will say that I think the Leliana romance epilogue
I guess I should say Shadow of the Colossus just because, even though the minimalistic nature of the story telling in that game doesn't do much for me personally.
If visual novels count I am tossing my hat in for both Ever17 and Clannad.
If you've played Clannad, you know why.
Ever17's is fantastic as well, especially given the whole arc of the characters involved in the love story.
Liara in Mass Effect 2.
In ME1 she was jailbait (come on, like 105 only?) and in ME2, the shadowbroker dlc, she was so awesome.
The lil talk in the cabin after the whole thing was kinda awesome in lots of ways.

The Aeka route in Yume MIru Kusur- cough
I mean
....
Ico has my favorite love story. *wipes a single tear away*
