A game that uses a mixture of 2D & 3D techniques. Commonly used to describe the use of either 3D graphics restricted to a 2D perceptive, or 2D graphics used to fake the appearance of a 3D perceptive.
3D Platformers are games where movement, traversal and mainly jumping is the core of the gameplay. They are a tridimensional equivalent of 2D platformer one of the most popular video game genres in the third and fourth generation of video game consoles.
Whether a timed button press or a more complex action, these are inputs performed during attack animations to increase damage. Most often seen in the Mario RPG series.
Albatoss is a flying enemy from Super Mario Bros 2. They often drop Bob-Ombs from their claws.
The All-Cup Tour is a special tour that allows you to play all 16 courses at once in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! You start out at Luigi Circuit and work your way around the tour to the last course, Rainbow Road.
Characters either begin with multiple outfits, unlock them through play, or purchase them as in-game items. These costumes are sometimes integral to play.
Amiibo is Nintendo's NFC figurine and card program that works across multiple games. Amiibo work natively with the Nintendo Wii U via the NFC reader in the Wii U GamePad and the New Nintendo 3DS. In 2015, Nintendo will release an accessory for the original Nintendo 3DS that lets players use Amiibo on it as well.
A professional and amateur sport, played world-wide, in which two teams advance a ball up and down a court in order to score "field goals," by throwing the ball through a basket or hoop. The team with the highest score at the end of timed play wins.
Bats, hammers, wrenches, maces, staves, or even brass knuckles. These are weapons intended for blunt trauma rather than cutting or slicing.
Extra stars that goes to the players based on their performance in the Mario Party franchise. It first appeared in Super Mario World.

Charging is the action of pressing & holding down a button or particular direction on the controller. Its purpose is to build up a powerful blast or burst of energy to take out an opponent or cause critical damage.
Allows the player to continue playing - even though they have finished the game. This allows the completion of unfinished side-quests or the results of the player's victory in the world to be seen.
A character in a game who uses unorthodox moves, and who likes to play 'practical jokes' on opponents. This makes losing to him/her all the more humiliating.
Collectibles are items such as coins, rings, gems, packages etc. that can be gathered, usually for some kind of reward, or sometimes to simply beat a level. Often (almost too often) the source of earning achievements and trophies on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The act of dressing in clothing generally associated with the opposite sex, often employed in video games for comic effect or for sexual excitement.
