The LX4 takes heavy influence from the real-life designs of the Caterham Seven and Lotus Seven. Like these models, the LX4 is extremely lightweight and powerful, which gives it great acceleration. However, this also makes the LX4 easier to upset around corners. It's not as powerful as the LX6, however, so the LX4 is a good car for anyone looking to learn the handling required for the LX6, or for more competitive races involving an LX model.
The LX4 has hybrid and knobbly tire options, making it a possible choice for rallycross. However, its handling style and raw power may prove too difficult for effective off-road driving. Anyone who can manage to control it on dirt at speed will find it very fast.
