The end of the world has some caveats 0

Mad Max creates a fitting post apocalyptic wasteland yet not all of the gameplay systems create a fun time. This game begins with Max losing his precious V8 interceptor car to a bunch of raiders. Luckily he quickly meets Chumbucket who is a mechanic that thinks he is a Saint and must work with him to create a Magnum Opus. The Magnum Opus is a car that can be customized by the player in many different ways. You could create a tank that can't be killed or a spiked monstrosity that damages any car ...

Mad Max – Conflicted Chaos 0

Mad Max is an exercise in conflict, both in the game world in a sense of lore, and mechanics. Set in a gorgeously realized wasteland with changing weather, visceral hand to hand combat, and some incredibly fun diversions like convoys, these pros are offset with cons of frames dropping, repetitive combat, and some general feeling that you’ve seen this all before in another game.Disclosure: I wrote this here fancy review for another site that I do quite a bit of reviewing for, seeing the ga...

    Mad Max Review 0

I played Mad Max like a Mad Man after I picked it up on sale. I'm torn on this game, on one hand the Batman style combat is tried and true,(I have to add that after replaying Batman Arkham Asylum, the combat is a lot more responsive and fluid than batman) and the car combat is pleasant enough, on the other hand this is the majority of things to do in this game. The story what little of it there is left me wanting . There are certain choke points in the story where you are bottle necked into doin...

    It's A Mad, Mad World. 0

Back in 1979, George Miller created a world that despite being relatively empty (population wise), felt extremely lived in. The people that inhabited the wasteland were dirty, brutal, and unforgiving. Now, nearly forty years since the original movie, Avalanche Studios has released a game that replicates that same feel of grit and grime.Mad Max takes place in the world established by the movies but leaves the familiar stories alone in favor of crafting a new one. The narrative of the game is muc...

"Mad Max" is a good companion piece to "Fury Road". 0

For me, it was a surprise to learn that "Mad Max" is set in the same universe as "Fury Road". Another surprise is that it's better than most critics would have you think. "Just Cause" developer Avalanche Studios have made a fairly entertaining open-world action game featuring plenty to do, but not much to see. True to the movies, the game is set in the desert and while it's pretty to look at, it's not exactly a riveting place to be. "Mad Max" also features the acclaimed combat system which debut...
