MadWorld is an artistically stylized over the top action game for the Wii created by Platinum Games. The main character, Jack, must compete in a kill or be killed TV show called Death Watch and gains points for the most brutal kills he can pull off.
Shigenori Nishikawa, has told Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK that he would definitely like to see a sequel to Sega published MadWorld. "I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay. We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future. [The Wii is ] a very well-balanced piece of hardware." - Shigenori Nishikawa
Graphics I can understand, but "Innovative gameplay" : / I think first of all he needs to realise just how mind numbingly dull his game was to most adults, even if it was a game cast in a classic beat up mould. Secondly, Nishikawa also needs to realise that he has much to learn about making engaging videogames for adults in the West, on the evidence of MadWorld, which wasn't really a true mature title at all in my eyes.
Luckily for him, Kamiya -san is only next door door.
MadWorld is actually a pretty fun beat em on it's hard difficulty setting I found, but elsewhere though, the game is plain fucking poor in my eyes...
