    I've got Magicka a week ago and to scroll through the spells you need a mousewheel. And I don't have one. If I try to map skill scrolling on the buttons on my keyboard - it just doesn't work. Help guys, I need to scroll my effin spells.

    Buy a $5 mouse? I don't know what to tell you. I'm pretty sure you can open the menu and look at the spells at any time without scrolling.

    I hate it when games assume I have a third mouse button, but no mouse wheel?  That's just kind of weird.  You should probably get a new one.

    Usually the mouse wheel IS the third mouse button.  You click it down.

    That never works for me.  Maybe it's just my mouse, though this has never worked so I don't think it's simply broken.  Also, it's a Logitech, so I would think that it would follow an industry standard like that, but who knows?

    No, I have a normal Razer mouse, I just didn't know that Razer is such a peace of crap that my mouse wheel will brake down after 4 month of using this device. Mouse3 is still working though, so I can cast spells on myself. 
     
    So, you guys too have no clue how to make spell scrolling work without wheel?

    Can't you bind it to a different key?

    A working Mouse is rather important for PC gaming. You wouldn't expect to play your PlayStation without the x button.

    Well that kind of changes everything. 
     
    Buy a new mouse, like LiquidS said, you wouldn't play a console game with a broken X button.

    This, I mean sure your mouse is fairly competent and it is fairly a mundane thing to get a new mouse for but you are gonna need a mouse with a wheel

    I can't think of that many PC games where I've really made use of the scroll wheel, but I personally wouldn't own a mouse that doesn't have one. After a decade or so using them in everything else I can't imagine going without.
