Cackletta's assistant packed with nasty gadgets and a foul tongue. Annoys Mario and Luigi to no end in their quest to save the Bean Kingdom. Known for his parodic, intentionally "poorly translated" dialogue.

Kamek

Kamek could have been the Magikoopa helping bowser at the begining.

Lakitu

Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.

Luigi

Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.

Mario

Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.

Princess Peach

Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.

Princess Shroob

The princess of the Shroob race. She has a secret sister, the Elder Princess Shroob.

Scutlet

A large, flat bug found inside Bowser. In English it shares its name with its species, but in most other language the boss and the common enemy are named differently.

Sergeant Guy

Starlow

Starlow is a Star Sprite that helps Mario and Luigi over the course of the game. She also gives Bowser advice using the alias "Chippy".

Toad

The Toad is a member of the Toad species. He is a loyal attendant of Princess Peach and often assists Mario on his journeys in a variety of ways.

Toadbert

It's Toadbert, by boogity.

Toadsworth

Toadsworth is Princess Peach's personal steward who first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Since then, he has appeared in a number of Mario franchise spin-offs.
