I'm starting this topic a little early; but I wanted to get out ahead of it and see if we could get people who have played the game to suggest the (actual) best board! One that will, hopefully, make for a game with lots of twists and turns =)

After what happened yesterday I don't think we'll be seeing another Mario Party Party for awhile.

Hey guys this is that 8 player Mario Party game, who would we want to see join the crew to play this one?

Also my vote for best stage is Windmillville since it's all about buying spaces on the board for stars at the end of the game. When someone lands on those spaces they can put more money in to buy it out, etc.

Hopefully they'll do another live one at PAX in September.

If they do decide to bring in more people so they can do 8 player, they could bring in the GBE people and I'd like Tim Turi former Co-worker of Dan when he was at Game Informer to fill in the last slot.

I prefer studio over live any day, but as long as we get a MPP7, location does not matter much.

Oh yeah, absolutely! It's so much more fun with the live crowd reaction.

After yesterday I think we'll have to wait a year or so for MPP7. Honestly I don't now if it's such a bad thing to wait that long either.

MPP6 was...painful. That just goes to show that they should never listen to "people" and/or Dan when it comes to picking the map. Also how the hell can one man be so damn lucky?

Also, I know what you guys did. "Hey Dan, Mario Party 6 is the best one. You guys should totally do the snow map. That's the best map." A bunch of liars. You knew what that would have caused. And now all of us are not going to live as long after experiencing that.

Yes I fully anticipate it being at PAX West this year. Although I anticipated MPP 6 to be at PAX East, but I guess there wasn't a good place to hold it nearby, while apparently CBSi has locked down a nearby place for the last 2 PAX West's.

Too bad those are no longer available at GS to get a second (do the games support 2 mics?) I'm glad my store still had one last summer so I could ship it with Mario Party 6 to Dan. After GC accessory clearance and GS employee discount, the mic cost me $0.25.

If/when they go on to 7 it would be nice if they had a reliable source to tell them which map had the most random bullshit. That snow level was kinda excruciating to sit through but they've already picked the most basic map five other times.

@grapesoda: Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Admittedly, having the "party" deteriorate to the point where even Dan was struggling was... interesting, but I don't think anyone could handle another 5 hours of that. More random bullshit was definitively needed.

Also the 8 player option is interesting, I keep hoping there's a chance they'll manage to get Danny and/or Mary roped into the next disaster. Feels like it's been a while since we've seen much of those two.

I'm just getting into this whole Mario Party Party thing, and am currently still watching the first one, so I don't know if they've addressed this already, but shouldn't the next one be Mario Party Advance?

Think they're sticking to console games. You're in for a treat with Mario Party Party 5 though.

They should absolutely NOT do an 8 player match. For one, it would kill the aspect of having an ultimate winner as discussed in the first MPP, and more importantly it would take 8 freakin' hours to beat that thing. The more people you have, the far longer it would take.

@quarters: To be honest, I'd love to watch them try playing it for 8 hours. They were going nuts from playing MPP6 for so long, imagine what would happen if you add a couple more hours! On the other hand, MPP is bad for your health and bladder.

Mario Party 7 is the best one!

I havent played a Mario Party game.

I got a premium membership a day or two before Mario Party Party 6 so I watched all of the previous Mario Party Parties before the live stream. I am now a husk of my former self, and I can't wait until the next Mario Party Party.

This is the good one.

In the camp that wishes they'd quit listening to whatever idiots on Twitter keep suggesting levels to them. I also wish they would lower the turn count from 50 to something like 25. It's just too long. It worked in the first two Mario Party games, they went on long enough that everyone was getting kind of punchy, but it was still entertaining. Now it seems that the crew is getting pushed past the point of exhaustion and are outright becoming mad, and that makes for an incredibly uncomfortable watch. The longer it goes, the more it seems that they also run out of stuff to say too, and so interesting bits start to become fewer and far between.
