I've been wanting to play this game since I saw it at E3, but I've been trying to keep my Switch completely digital. I kept flip flopping between getting a physical copy for the Prime discount or just pre-ordering a digital copy. But I can't seem to find this game anywhere for digital preorder. Even going to the Nintendo website it wants you to buy a physical copy of the game.

Now, I probably shouldn't care about the pre-order bonuses but it'd be nice to get them if I was planning on preordering anyway, but I just straight up can't find any info on digital copies. I'm guessing I would just need to wait for actual release and get it then, foregoing the pre order bonuses? Has anyone seen the digital copy being sold anywhere?

Why does one need to "pre-order" a digital version of a game?

It's not like the eShop is going to run out of copies...

Like I said I could wait for the actual release, get it digital, and forego the preorder bonuses. But I figure it'd be worth getting them if I'm already interested in playing the game. They're probably not that great as those type of "starting weapon" bonuses tend to not be that great but might as well try to get them.

Switch games take like 10 minutes to download, if that.

    What's the benefit of preloading?

I could see it if it was a 60Gig PC game... But it aint.

Gamestop normally allows you to pre-order digital copies. Maybe they can still give you the pre-order bonuses?
