I've been a gamer my entire life, and I JUST now realized that "Warp Pipes" in Mario games are actually sewage tunnels...because they're plumbers, get it?
Is this a commonly overlooked fact, or am I just super slow?
Mario
Mario, Nintendo's mascot, has been around for over 30 years and still stars in many games, saving Princess Peach from Bowser's numerous plots. Mario is the best selling video game franchise of all time, with an estimated 200 million Mario games sold world-wide.
I feel pretty stupid right now.
" I've been a gamer my entire life, and I JUST now realized that "Warp Pipes" in Mario games are actually sewage tunnels...because they're plumbers, get it?I think a lost of people overlook it. For a couple of years after I first player Mario, I thought they were plant pots because they had piranha plants in.
Is this a commonly overlooked fact, or am I just super slow? "
" To be fair I can't recall any moment from the video games where either Mario or Luigi put their plumbing skills to use. "Technically, the story of the original Mario Bros. is of him having to clean the sewers of all the Koopas and what not.
Though the ratio of jumping on heads to plumbing is pretty uneven.
I guess I never actually thought about it really, especially considering how incoherent most of the series is anyway...
