    Mark E. Kern (also known simply as Mark Kern) is the former Chairman and Chief Creative Officer at Red 5 Studios. He took this role in November of 2008, replacing Michael Weingarter, who was promoted to President and CEO of Red 5 Studios. Before working with Red 5, Kern had been a Team Lead with Blizzard Entertainment, and put in work on World of Warcraft and its expansions.

    As of Thursday, December 19th, 2013, the Red5 Studios board of directors voted to remove him from his position as CEO, and was replaced by the Vice President of Development, James Macauley.
