Marvel Rivals
A free-to-play team-based hero-shooter set throughout various Marvel universes, with various superheroes and supervillains duking it out in six-on-six clashes.
Overview
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play multiplayer superhero-themed third-person hero shooter developed and digitally released by NetEase (Company) for the PlayStation 5 (Platform), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Platform) on December 6, 2024. A PlayStation 4 (Platform) release is scheduled for September 12, 2025.
Similar to hero-shooters like Overwatch 2 (Game), Marvel Rivals puts heroes and villains from various Marvel (Franchise) universes in six-on-six clashes.
Heroes
Much like other hero-shooters, each hero falls in one of three categories: one for survivability, one for damage-dealing, and one for support. Each hero has their own passive ability, cooldown-based abilities, and an ultimate ability whose charge builds up over time.
Unique to the game are "Team-Ups", where specific characters can be paired together in the same team to gain an additional unique passive or active ability.
