Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Heading to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network
I'm really hoping the next great fighting game that Capcom will annouced for PSN & XBLA will be Street Fighter III
"Very good! Now when will they make that sequel...."Dude there will never be a sequel since Capcom doesn't have the license to marvel anymore. Just a release of it with online play is enough for me. The fighting game drought is over wooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Pringles baybeee!!!!

"If they can't figure out how to have lag free online matches in the 'tame' fighting games, how are they going to do it in a crazy one like this? License Kai or something? ;p"
What do you mean by 'tame' fighting games? Street Fighter Turbo HD Remix? Because that has an excellent GGPO netcode and that's the same one that the new MvC2 is going to use.
Here's an explosion of info in regards to the PS3 Demo!
This Thursday, April 30, PlayStation Network users will enjoy a free, exclusive MVC2 demo! No need to purchase another game, just download it straight to your PS3 and get ready for some triple tag team action (A big thank you goes out to Rommel Hernandez who helped make this exclusive demo possible).
Here are the details of the demo:
- Two-player local matches
- Six available characters – Ryu, Chun-Li, Strider, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine
- Seven selectable environments
- Upscaled 1080p graphics
- Widescreen or 4:3 aspect ratio
- Two graphic filter options for character sprites
- And other cool options to check out

"By tame I mean ones without super fast matches with really big combos and lots of projectiles flying around."I'm pretty sure Capcom can handle it. If not, fuck them.
They can't handle Street Fighter 4, that's terrible with lag, I usually get kicked before a match even starts.
Is it worth $20? Probably by next year, the downloadable games will cost $30. Anyone else seeing the upward trend on these damn XBL games? I think I'm going to have to wait until the discount hits, so I won't support these ghouls.
According to the Kotaku story, it will only be $15

UGHH, damn you Capcom!
No, I refuse to buy this! Every time a new XBLA fight game comes out, I have to have it. But I (somehow) resisted purchasing SFIIHDR, so I think I can resist this one as well.
I'll just be sticking to SF IV thank you very much.
To those who might be confused with the knicks, pringles, and mahvel comments just watch this video. Then after this you will understand...and laugh.

even more happy i decided not to pay $60 dollars for SFIV
Can't wait. I've only played the game for about 10 minutes in an arcade a very long time ago and I would love to actually play it some more.
Never really got around to play the Marvel vs Capcom games, which is frustrating because they always seem like such great games so I am defiantly interested in this.
Anyone who thinks an HD Remix of this game is going to happen is just plain stupid. Said it before i'll say it again, as much as i'd love one, 50+ characters IS SIMPLY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Please get it out of your simple brains, that many frames of animation simply will not happen on a low budget, and on a high budget it's simply not going to pull a profit so it's not going to happen.
Same goes for Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, too many characters for a low budget, not enough profit potential for a higher budget remake.
Don't get me wrong, I want one as much as the next guy but anyone who seriously thinks it's going to actually happen is totally kidding themselves.
As for this, i've been happy with my PS2 version, I got it new back when it actually came out, but the one thing it lacks is online play which this will totally remedy provided the net code
is decent, that and I can use my SFIV TE stick with it :D So all good. Definate purchase from me I don't care if it's like 1600 points.
Edit: MvC3 however is actually a distinct possibility now, sure Capcom might not have the Marvel license anymore, but if they weren't on friendly terms then MvC2 wouldn't be getting an XBLA release as Marvel would have blocked it. Both sides have expressed interest in an MvC3 as well but both sides are saying there are no current plans, but it's something they would like to happen. So for now it's a no, but if it does happen it won't come as a huge surprise.
Super stoked about this, I never got to play it before and I've always wanted to. To think, I nearly spent almost 80 bucks on the PS2 version.
Has anyone noticed that games with super heroes in them seems to be a theme this Summer?
