I'm a huge fighting game nerd but, unfortunately, none of my friends are.  This means I spend all my time either dealing with lag online or dinking around on my own in training mode theorycrafting combos.  I know it's more than a month out but I'm wondering if any GB'ers local to the Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena area of LA would be interested in doing some kind of meet-up the weekend of release (2/19,20).  If there's interest I might be willing to let some of you folks into my home to (murder you) play some MvC3, SSFIV or possibly BB:CS.

I play on PS3 and own 2 TE fightsticks, one with the default square gate and one I modded with an octagonal gate.  Also my GF is with child and I am a teetotaller so this would be a SOBER event.  Depending on how festive I feel, I may cook (ex-chef) or more likely just order a bunch of pizza.  I figure this could be a great way to make some new gamer friends and actually play fighting games the way they're meant to be played.

So what say you?  Can I TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE!?

EDIT: I just realized I own 2 TV's, 2 PS3's and a 360 so if people were willing to bring their gear / play on pad, we could have to games going simultaneously!  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    Try the SSF4 forum?

I'd love to get raped and beheaded but UK to LA is quite a drive.

@Pessh Yeah, figured I'd let it sit for a week or two first, maybe hit up SSFIV board in 2 weeks then General the week before/of release.

@demontium Yeah but all my software / gear is for PS3. I'll keep you posted if it starts looking likely to happen.
