I finished Mass Effect 2 a little bit ago, and I thought I'd like to share with you what happened in my suicide mission run. I'll start by saying that I failed to upgrade certain parts of the ship, so some characters died before we even landed. Yeah, I suck. 

•  Tali got blown to fuck in the core room. Whoops.
• Thane got stabbed in the stomach by a spare piece of wall or something. How'd that happen?
• After that cutscene, I sent Mordin threw the vents and Miranda as the leader of the second group. While closing the door, Mordin got hit in the face and died.
• Left Dr. Chakwas and the others to pretty much die. Didn't take anyone to protect them. Dumb move on my part. Also, Kelly died, I guess I took too long doing Tali's side mission to rescue her.
• Used Samara for the biotic powers in the next stage. Took Grunt and Jacob for my squad.
• For the boss battle, I took Garrus and Jacob with me, everyone else stayed back. Everyone survived that part.

Hahaha. Uh, you might not get the greatest ending in the game. (DUH!!) This means that you just might have to play it again to see what other ending you get. ; - P Oh yeah...................... COOL STORY BRO.!!!!!!!!

Thane- Got "one in the head."  
Legion- Killed by debris I suppose. 
Jack- She got carried away by those weird flying "things." 

In my first playthorugh,Grunt,Garrus and Miranda were the only survivors. 
Awesome.

Oh, I thought you meant you were purposely going for the 'no-one survives' ending. Something I tried three times for and just couldn't get some of those bastards to die. Especially Shepard, resilient bastard.
  
Everyone survived my first run, wasn't even trying for that but hey.

I think like 4 people died in my playthrough. Legion got blown up, Thane got hit and Jack got blasted. All this before we crash landed. Inside the base, I used Jacob for the barrier and Samara got carried away by those swarms. Playing through again though to make sure everybody survives.

Wait. So, you didn't know about the upgrades? Come on, man. A huge part of that game is just taking the time to look around the ship and use the upgrade terminal. Ah, well, I'm sure you feel bad enough, so I'll just thank you for killing Kelly. Doesn't that bitch know the rules? If you're feedin' a man's fish, you need to put out. It's just common courtesy.

For me Zaeed got shot in the stomach, and Mordin was just laying there at the end of the mission dead while everybody else was running away. Which kind of made me mad.

In my first play through everyone survived. Fuck yeah.

No legion?...Then this has not meaning to me! 

I lost Jack from my team and most of the ships crew on my 1st play-through. 
Attempt #2 had everyone safe and sound.
