On Saturday's Comic-con livestream, Bioware announced six potential appearances of female Shepard, and you can vote for your favorite on facebook. The winner will become the default femShepard, and be featured on marketing material for ME3.

A small update regarding the voting. It's clear that we have a winner. But if this interview is true, the winner might be subject to a second round of voting.

That said, we have received some comments from people that they like -- the hair style of one with the color of another -- so we may decide to take the winning one and do a 2nd round of voting where we change some cosmetic things like hair and eye color just to ensure that fans get the FemShep they want."

This is of course just a "maybe" but don't be surprised if they keep this train going.

Are they finally making a default Shepard that isn't just a standard character creator character? Awesome. Looks like it's between 3 and 5. I picked 5.

4th one to add some Ethnicity to the game, and the 5th one is my favorite.

Just the promotion? Damnit Bioware. Why can't they take the time to render a decent looking unique FemShep in-game. They all end up looking the same.

Well, none of these look anything like my Shepard. However, I think 4 or 5 look the best.

I went for 2 and 4 with my vote. I REALLY like how 4 looks so exotic, and has that red streak in her black hair.

I'm into 1 and 5. They look pretty good.

I definitely know my favourite, FemShep 5.

I don't like any of them. Good thing I always go with male Shepard, or "Kirk Jr." as I like to call him (because like Captain Kirk, both command ships and were originally played by Canadians (Mark Meer for Shepard, William Shatner for Kirk, but you already knew that, didn't you?)).

And Number 1 looks like Natalie Portman, so shes got my vote.

I don't know if I can handle a default FemShep.

None of these is Shepard. Shepard is a somewhat ugly brunette with a terrible nose and an even worse attitude. GET THESE IMPOSTERS OUT OF MY SIGHT.

I believe 1 would be the most exciting to sleep with, so I vote 1.

They need to retroactively patch these in to 1 & 2 so i can finally play a female shepard.

Male space marine, grizzled, scarred, five o'clock shadow!

I can't narrow it down any further than 3 through 5.

A lot of users who voted for 5 have specifically commented that they want that, but with red hair.

A BSN user even made a manip with the red hair version for reference.

I'm fine with the default Shephard, I didn't think anything was wrong with it.(This coming from a guy who prefers using FemShep, mostly because of voice)
 
Regardless, I chose 5

These women terrify me! I like 3 as a default shepherd. Keeping it nice and simple.
