How do I holster my weapon after a firefight. It used to be the Back button. IT'S KILLING ME!
Mass Effect 3
Game » consists of 19 releases. Released Mar 06, 2012
When Earth begins to fall in an ancient cycle of destruction, Commander Shepard must unite the forces of the galaxy to stop the Reapers in the final chapter of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
Holster your weapon help!?
@LordXavierBritish: Why not!? Shepard looks like a moron walking his gun drawn at ALL TIMES. I wanna chill out and explore!
@LordXavierBritish: In the grand scheme of things it kind of isn't but it would have been nice to have a way to do it.

It's similar to how I can no longer crouch at anytime, only when I take cover. Unless the keybindings screen is extremely misleading.Man remember Mass Effect 1? Good times. Crouching. A sprint as fast as a leopard.
Damn, now that you mention it. That sprint was crazyy.
To be honest, that's why we need the next console generation already. Enough RAM for holstering and quicksaves! They replaced the button with a quick save button. I think I prefer the replacement.
It kind of bothers me when game designers think they know what is best for me in between sequeled games. Does pushing in the left thumb stick do anything? Would have worked for weapon holstering, just sayin'!!!!
Im quite happy they are using the back button as a quick save. This needs to be a new trend. It kind of bothers me when game designers think they know what is best for me in between sequeled games. It used to bother me a LOT, but then I download a FOV fix (thanks to Tennmuerti) that allows me to pull back whenever I please. Still annoying that his arms are sticking out and there's a crosshair, but it's muuuuch better now:

Crazy FOV (110):
The quick save would have been useful if the game didn't already save like every two minutes. I think I would have preferred a holster button.

How does one do this because that looks much better than shepards arms covering a third of your screen
If you are talking about:

that, then you must be on a PC and he did it with a patch. Or mod. Or whatever the hell you want to call it. It might be possible on a 360 but I doubt it.

Oh I have it on the PC, I was just looking for a link to this mod or adjusted ini file that changes the FOV. I'd rather not go crawling through the internet and get possible spoilers for the game (and I'm kinda lazy).
Honestly, the character animation when using a pistol is the single most offensive thing about the Mass Effect series. I've become so irrationally fixated on it that I simply cannot play these games.

Oh. Well, @AhmadMetallic, where did you find this here FOV mod doohickey?
Here's the fix thread, no spoilers:How does one do this because that looks much better than shepards arms covering a third of your screen

Then why don't they have better looking environments?@Slaker117 said:
Such a small, pointless thing, but it bugs the hell out of me that you can't do it anymore. Though part of that is probably just because I want the camera to pull back.its probly a tool to kepe the FOV small and use shepards body as an excuse to not render half the screen so they can have much better looking environments.
Zing!
No holstering sounds like the worst thing possible. How the fuck can you actually think that isn't important? It makes the character look like they mind as well be a walking turret.

The amount of RAM it takes to render robot camel toe is quite staggering.
