I know some people were OK with the ending to ME3 and others were either somewhat indifferent or amused. Its something I still talk about with my friends quite a lot and something that I don't know that I will ever really not find disappointing.

What is the one thing you can think of that would let you get past that ending?

I would like to see them explore some of the other individuals stories, especially Garrus and Rex.

This is like asking "What can you do to make the ending of Twilight better?" We've rehashed this a lot already. For me I don't think "badly written endings" warent changes and should stand as they are.

I don't care about the ending because I had already lost interest in the series after playing 2. There's nothing redeeming in the game mechanics for me to even give a morsel of a shit about the ending. Fuck that series and fuck Dragon Age.

I don't care enough about Mass Effect to be batshit about it's ending. I played the trilogy, beat it... and moved on. I never even noticed that the ending was bad.

Year anniversary so lets talk about, its mediocre, they fucked up and they probably know it. There can be no future Mass Effect games because of their decision to make the future of the universe completely different (from where it started and from where it can end up depending on choices) and by making it so vague

I just want them to make the next Mass Effect game take place after 3. If they make a prequel, I probably won't buy it at launch. I didn't like the ending, but I liked the way it left the universe, at least in my head.

Mass Effect 4 begins right before you beam up and meet the illusive man at the end of ME3, and basically "retcons" the entire fucking ending. If that doesn't happen--and it won't happen--the series is dead to me.

I was there. Time passed. I learned to get past it. So can we please just stop talking about the ending now? The last SP DLC just came out and it'd be nice to enjoy it (as it is pretty awesome for the most part) without dragging up the ending yet again!

Actually yes, I found the Assassin's Creed 3 ending to be far worse than ME3. The writing was just... plain bad.

It's kind of funny how the AC3 ending is bad in a lot of the very same specific ways that the ME3 ending was. It's hard me to say which is worse, the ME3 ending definitely stung more for me, but only because I was invested in Mass Effect far more than Assassin's Creed.

I stopped cairing.

I didn't need to get past the ending. I thought it was perfect.

I waited until the game was complete before playing it... which means now, a year later, I can finally start Mass Effect 3. This is what your mid-game mission DLC has done to me Bioware! You have no one to blame but yourself!

I've come to really liking it now since the Citadel DLC. It didn't change the ending in any way but it was so sad to see Shep's closest friends talk about having another party after the war with me watching, knowing that he would die...

I already got past it. Easily. I was fine with it before, and after the Extended Cut(plus Leviathan and Citadel), I really enjoy the ending. So yeah, no longer an issue.

I never got upset about it. Also how could you forgive the Alamo?

I don't think there really is a way, nothing short of changing it completely which they wont do is the only way to fix it in my mind. I just think its something you live with and move on. That last DLC they are releasing seems to be a good swan song to mass effect 3 so maybe play that.

Assassin creed 3 was a more disappointing game overall but the ending was not as bad as mass effect 3 in my eyes. I saw assassin creed 3 ending coming like you would a car wreck when you hear screeching tires. The story toward the end just felt rushed and messy. what hurt mass effect 3 more is it was doing an ok job up to the end.
