I'm not that far into the game, but between the Mars base and the battle on the Turian moon over Palaven, this is a huge step up in terms of things going on in the background and making you feel like you're in a living environment. Seeing the planet burning in the background with the Reapers was sort of awe inspiring.

It's unfortunate to see no one post here yet. Anyways, I'm hoping to get the game today, and thanks for the news, or... your opinion. I hope it has good settings.

Palavan's moon is amazing looking.

I agree completely. Sure, you can nitpick and find muddy textures/sprites and whatnot but all in all, the game looks a LOT better than ME2. Something about the colour palette in this one is making me nostalgic for ME1 and I'm loving it.

I'm playing on the PS3 and I heard a lot about the framerate but coming from Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, this feels a lot smoother as well.

I completely agree. And it's not just the scenery that's great, the level design on a gameplay level is (so far) vastly improved over ME2.

It's too early to truly judge it properly but with the exception of a few ham-fisted dialog bits I'm liking ME3 better than 2 so far.

That moon mission did look incredible and the rest of the game is great looking as well.

I think the Citadel, especially the Presidium Commons looks really cool

I really dug the design of the courtyard at the Asari Monastery.

I also think the new new Normandy is much cooler now that it's not all sterile and bland.
